These cliffs were so much more beautiful than the Cliffs of Moher for us. There were very few visitors and you had nothing but breath-taking cliff views all to yourself. If you're in the area, you should head out. The grounds are free, but the...More

Well worth a drive to and such a lovely landscape. Can walk around the lighthouse out to the cliff edge. Feels like your on the edge of Ireland. Only drawback is there is a charge to go into the lighthouse. Bring a picnic if its...More

Bring your boots and take a walk on the paths here as the views both north and south are well worth the trip. There's lots of parking at the Light House, so leave the car here and wander around on foot for a while. Take...More

Not much facilities, maybe it was closed off since off season (September). The tour director was knowledgeable and interesting. It didn't cost much to go up the lighthouse. I wish there was a coffee shop there.

The light house is situated at or Close to the cliff face. Parking is available. Careful out side the Monument (although a functioning one) as there are no railings at the edge of the cliffs. Otherwise we were guided up the stone steps with a...More

This proved to be a longer drive than expected, but was fantastic when we arrived. Far nicer that the cliffs of moher and no parking charge. There is a charge to go into the lighthouse, but this is not necessary as it was pretty spectacular...More

Loop Head is a rather overlooked place as most people who visit Clare tend to visit the Cliffs of Mohor, which although spectacular, are rather overrun with visitors which can spoil the day. No such trouble hear as so few people come but they should...More

We stayed in a beautiful AirBNB, about 300 years old but completely updated. Brennens Old Stone Cottage. There are other B&B's in the area. Wish I could be there right now!
