Popped into Beecraigs Country Park after visit to Cairnpapple, its open to 20.00 during summer months, shop and toilets too. It was sunny so armed with an ice lolly we walked to the loch (reservoir) through a woodland and found loads of fungi, swan family, grey wagtail family, moorhens, calling buzzard and aerodynamic swallows. We met dog walkers, photographers, families... More

This country park is tranquillity in itself. There are children's play areas but you can usually find a quite place to yourself. Also walk up cockeroy hill for great views.

We have visited this site twice now. The camping site is only small but set in a lovely location. Plenty of lovely dog walks around the park and Loch. Shower and toilet facilities are brilliant! Spotlessly clean, lovely and warm and very well lit. Very roomy shower room, perfect. Other campsites should take a look..

Perfect place to take the children to run off some steam during the school holidays. The play park is extensive with slides, rope bridges, towers & climbing structures to suit all ages. We had 3 five year olds with us who had a wonderful time in the play area and then spent hours building a 'den' in the woods all... More

Beecraigs is brilliant for a slightly muddy, sometimes rainy, always wonderful day out with the family. If you have a dog I'd highly recommend this location as it offers everything for you and your pet from the walks around the water past the old fish farm, to really quite varied forest walks. While the first walks offer you some great... More

Was looking for a different place to go for a nice long walk to explore with my 2 labs. So after doing some searching on Internet Beecraigs popped up. So me and hubby along with our 2 labs jumped in the car and off we went. Wow this place is amazing some great walks, bike ride tracks and play park... More

What more could you ask for from a country park, the play area for kids is big and suits all ages, you can go enjoy a peaceful walk around the woods and Loch, there is a small farm for kids to learn about animals and to top it off its all free including the parking, only thing missing is a... It's changed a lot since last there. Miss the restaurant loads, sad to see it closed. However still a lovely place. Car battery suddenly went flat... Called my Dad who came with no leads, but two gentleman cyclists were kind enough to lend me there's as they were packing up to go. Only 4 stars since the restaurant has gone... More

We visit Beecraigs quite a few times each week to walk 2 dogs and always have a very enjoyable walk taking different routes each visit. Loads of things to do for families be it the walk round the loch, visiting the deer, sheep and cattle or the play area. Very popular with families and dog walkers - all very friendly.
