We visited Geilston Garden as part of a National Trust holiday with Lochs and Glens. Some people had already visited and were not impressed so we weren't sure what we would find. What we did find was a lovely peaceful garden full of interest - from the long border and flowers in the walled garden, the woodland walks and we... More

Not the easiest of places to find and when you get there you won't find a lot for a gardener if you are attending later in the summer when the azaleas and rhodies are not in bloom. Probably looks stunning in May/June.The walk behind the house is a quiet walk but not a lot of interest other than the burn.... More

What a great garden. Visited at just the right time of year when the rhododendrons and azaleas were in full bloom. I just did not expect that it would be so spectacular it will remain in my thoughts for many years to come. Got some fabulous photographs.

Situated between Dumbarton and Helensburgh this is a delight and well worth an hour or two of your time, especially as it is free to members of the National Trust or the National Trust for Scotland. Mostly staffed by volunteers but if you have a question they can’t answer one of the permanent gardeners will be happy to help and... More

This garden is wonderful in late spring . The rhododendrons and azaleas are in full flower and there is an extensive carpet of forget-me-nots in many places. My dog would have loved to walk the garden with me but this wasn't allowed. It is hard to see the reason for this as other gardens allow dogs on a leash. There... More

I love visiting Geilston garden and am always glad when it opens again for the new season. The Easter egg trail is always a hit with the grandchildren and this year there is a new children's play and picnic area for them to enjoy. Spring flowers are always a treat to see . Can't wait for the sun to shine... More
