We were here in the rain but still there was something almost magical about the place. Turns out there are three possible parking spots close to where you begin the walk. Otherwise, you have a bit of a walk from the road parking. The people we saw parked here had some private tours and they knew the ropes. If you... More

Beautiful and odd. Mystical and maybe magical. Funny little round hills and a mini loch. Kids loved it. Tell spooky stories when you go. Reminds me of Maurice Sendaks "Outside over there".

Not sign posted at all, no carpark. We spent about 45 min walking around this little mountain range for fairies. Or maybe it looks more like hobbiton - haven't decided. No official walking path but easy to get around and explore.

We visited Faerie Glen in perfect weather - sun shining, blue sky - and the hills and grass were green and lush, and we almost felt like we were in Hobbiton - transported to another, magical world! It's a nice little walk from parking by the road to the Glen, and you never know what you'll see around the next... More

This is a very atmospheric glen with unusual hill which streach for quite some distance. Pretty busy in the summer!

We made the mistake of going to the Fairy Pools first, and that place is ridiculous. However, The Faerie Glen is gorgeous, and made me grin a lot, looking at the stone circles, towers, etc. We went on a day that was WAY to windy to climb high on many places, although some were doing it. But, it was very... More

We are a family of four and loved this stop. Not easy to find; had to ask a local in Uig where to turn. Once we found it, we realized why so many people recommended it. Beautiful with tons of charm. Be advised the hiking is fairly easy but some parts are not for those afraid of heights.

My limited mobility mum (76) wanted to view only and after speaking to a local in the carpark at the post office just after the Uig Hotel at the edge of Uig village. He pointed out a single track road which was great fun to drive - sea views to die for at the top ( bonus) not for the... More

This was one of the surprisingly best stops on my visit to Skye. I had it on my list of places to visit, but didn't expect to be so enchanted with it. You literally park by the roadside and wander up, down, and around the incredible (and incredibly green) landscape. In the distance, you can see two waterfalls cascading down... More

I loved this place so much the landscape was stunning. Was like post card Scotland. I went with a tour group on a day tour of Isle of Skye. If your not hiring a car would recommend a day tour as it's not the easiest place to get to. Well worth a visit
