I love this place. I love the building with its cornices and statues or Roman and Greek Gods. I used to love taking my children there and recounting the stories brought about by the classic decor and my children loved going. It was a great fee place for a single parent with no money to take two children to. When... More

I have been there twice. Getting there is a bit convoluted as the Park is situated in an urban area near Hamilton. Car park is spacious as the spot is popular with the locals. The hunting lodge, which is a folly by William Adam, is a pleasant little affair looking over a dip which used to be a quarry. This... More

A great place to take the dogs regardless of the weather. Open areas to let them run about plus you can follow various trails round by the river etc.

Walked up here, along the river, and through the woods from Strathclyde Park. Well worth the effort to see how the rich, ruling class lived back in the day. It still retains its early grandeur, and looking down from the front steps you can almost visualize the Gentry rolling up the LONG driveway in their carriages. The local Council are... More

I stay not far from here and have been going to this park for as long as I can remember either walking the trail with friends, family or solo with dog. Using the large playground with the children or going to various events at the Main house. The cafe is lovely and fairly cheap but tasty. There is also a... More

This is a very interesting attraction. Lovely walks, also a great cycle path which you can either walk or cycle. The path takes you all the way to Strathclyde Country Park. Also in the grounds of the Hunting Lodge are very good picnic spots, and a children's Play park. The lodge itself is free and as you walk round gives you the... More

Arrived hungry and went for a bite to eat but the restaurant is not what it seems with stale bread and half cooked food. The shop is mostly tourist tat, however the displays are very interesting and informative. The Cadzow Oaks are a delight and the old Cadzow Castle is worth a look after crossing the Avon Water via the... More
