Beautiful in all seasons. A favourite place of mine, mainly for running but also a nice visitor centre and cafe. Great for all ages (and species!) and there's even a big play park for kids.

A salmon leap has been added to the river Avon in the hope the fish will swim furthur upwards. After a nice walk a cup of tea or something more substantial can be... More

What a tremendous place to spend some quality outdoor time. Also loved the house itself and it's history. Nice little cafe too

Chatelherault was once the hunting lodge of the Dukes of Hamilton and after being allowed to fall into a ruin, has been wonderfully restored. Although there are only three rooms to visit they have been faithfully recreated and worth a visit. There is also a shop and some lovely walks particularly along the wooded gorge. So it is a pity... Beautiful setting for walking. A range of walks are available with short, medium and longer walks along the banks of the Clyde. Some parts are muddy and hilly so proper walking boots are required.
