Visited the museum as friend had visited as a boy. Wanted to see if the stuffed elephant was still there. Sadly it wasn't but a rather motheaten lion resided upstairs. Interesting artefacts and history of museum. Also allowed a tour of the observatory. Closing soon...More

Brilliant. Was lucky to visit observatory as well. Would be more than happy to take family and friends on next visit

We focused on just the section on the history of the paisly motif and the looms that we're used to make the scarfs etc. Very informative and well laid out.

Lots of things to see and explore. The history of Paisley Shawls is interesting for its significance to the area. One downside was it closes at 4pm on a Saturday. This won't do I'd Paisley Town is aiming to be "city of culture 2021" you...More

Thought this was a great museum documenting Paisley’s industrial, wartime and social past. It is due for renovation in 2018 so will look forward to re-visitng when it re-opens. Entry is free.

Some fantastic exibits highlighting paisleys past contributions to local and national society.staff are very informative and freindly .i only went in to kill some time while my wife went shopping locally . She had to come and drag me out as i was so engrossed...More

A beautiful building in Paisley High Street but when you enter it is very impressive with various floors to explore. See the history of the town and of course the world renown Paisley Pattern shawls on exhibit and looms that produced them. Plenty more to...More

Good exhibits be sure to visit Buddy the Lion. I spent many an hour at the museum and library next door as a young lad. So many interesting things to see from Paisleys past and exhibits fro all over the world.

As a Paisley Buddy in exile returning after many years this was a huge disappointment. The big attraction is weaving and the shawls, but the display was not very inspiring and none of the hanging shawls were even labelled. Paisley has plenty of other history...More
