About
Pitlochry Information Centre is located on the main street in Pitlochry (Atholl Road) and has its own car park. It is open all year round. VisitScotland's Information Centre in Pitlochry is open throughout the year and offers a variety of services for both visitors and locals. We can book a variety of buses which leave from Pitlochry and go to Perth, Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow and Inverness as well as other locations. Local fishing permits are available for local lochs and rivers as well as tickets for attractions such as Blair Castle, Glamis Castle and the Black Watch Castle & Museum. If you fancy an adrenalin thrill we can arrange a day of adventure with Highland Fling Bungee. We have a selection of Scottish gifts to remind you of a special visit to Pitlochry in the heart of Scotland including a wide range of books and maps to help you make the most of your stay.

Parking prohibited

Staff have decided to limit parking to 20 minutes. Do they own the car park? Seems a bit ridiculous given that anyone could laminate a sign.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your comments regarding the car parking limitations. The car park is leased to VisitScotland and is for the iCentre customer and staff use. During busy times of year, the car park can be very full but with no visitors in the iCentre. The sign is purely to give priority to those people looking to use the iCentre for information. Kind regards Katie

Staff very helpful and friendly, especially David. We were in a bit of a spot after promising to take our children fishing, only to find out the local fishing venue in Pitlochry was managed by a grumpy man who made us feel so unwelcome we decided not to give him our custom. David at the ‘I’ centreI quickly sorted out an alternative for us - at Willowgate Fishereries in Perth, calling ahead and booking us in - a great day was enjoyed by all. The staff at the ‘I’ centre are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful and I would highly recommend you use this service.

Helpful but unable to help

Great location on the right as you drive into Pitlochry from the South.

Plenty of car parking andHeathergems is just set back behind the building and worth a visit, too.

Previously I have been able to book an overnight coach ride South but on this visit, I was informed that booking on behalf of a customer was no longer offered. I was advised that overnight coaches no longer stop in Pitlochry but in fact they still do. I took one down to Victoria un London.

Free wi if is available and customers are encouraged to book by themselves

Free wi if is useful, as Pitlochry is like a backhole for satellite Internet. It drops in and out all over the place.

There is a good selection of souvenirs and scenic cards

Fancy having an information centre without free parking!

Once you get inside, the staff are knowledgeable and there is a great selection of information to take away. I think they should consider a fifteen minute free parking policy.

I can’t praise the staff enough for there help during our stay in Pitlochry,We spoke to an older gentleman who was a font of knowledge supplying us with maps numbers and drawings of places we could visit ..times that walks might take us and difficulties we might encounter ..even pointing out to watch for slippery steps and where the toilets were which at our age is quite important 😁He was truly amazing 🤩 The younger guy in the office checked if certain restaurants where open it being a Monday etc What a dynamic team you have ..Can’t thank you enough you made our stay so enjoyable and interesting.
