You can't access the power station other than to look through some windows at the turbines, but you can walk across the top of the dam and along the fish pass, which was very innovative when it was built all those years ago. If you...More

We enjoyed our visit here. Good visitor centre with interactive displays, for children and adults alike! Walk over the dam and visit the fish ladder. No fish there when we visited 🙁.

Fish ladder closed due to 'health and safety' even though visitor center info desk knew of no accidents since opening in 1951! Could only view fish ladder on 'live' feed and that was showing pre-recorded. Might just as well stay at home and watch fish...More

Easy place to get to from the centre. It is what it is. There are some other walks nearby and there is a cafe at the top overlooking the dam. Nice view down the river both ways.
