Would have loved to give a good review, but...

Being local to Perth and a lover of the Inveralmond beers already I decided to take a walk along to the shop in the aim of purchasing a good few beers for the Christmas period. I came across a beer that I hadn't had before and asked if I could try a little before I purchased a few bottles. I was told by the man that he could only sell me the bottle and let me taste that. I thought it pretty poor that he could not even spare opening a bottle to let me taste it before I spent a fair amount of money in their shop. Their loss. I left without spending a penny.

A brilliant, welcoming brewery.
The first time we went, Ken especially opened the brewery for us on a Saturday as we had a few in our party that had been bought a tour for a Christmas present and it was a struggle to get us all together. Good tour and we were welcomed into the very smart bar area with pies and pints and told to help ourselves to the pumps. Meant I got to teach my 70 year old father in law how to pour a pint.

Second time my friend and I were welcomed by Fergus and given the tour by Craig who gave us a real in-depth tour in the finer workings of the brewery then we shared a few pints. My friend I was with got a notification stating he had passed his college exams to allow him to do a degree at Uni while we were sitting in the bar, so it became a bit of a celebration.

A tour I can thoroughly recommend and shall definitely do again!

(I've put "September 2015" in the date of visit but it was before then).

Really informative tour of the brewery, plenty of time to ask questions, fantastic 'freebies' included in the price and really friendly fun atmosphere to the tasting bar area. Really good addition to our hen weekend, even for me and I'm not a big ale fan!

Great brewery experience.....

Visited with friends for the brewery tour. Fergus and the team have a passion for brewing and this shows in the range of great beers.
The tour through the brewery follows the process from start to finish, with lot's of knowledge passed on.
A great day out in Perth.

Great afternoon out with my old man!

I bought my father a tour of the brewery and opted for the "legend" ticket for him as a xmas gift. I bought myself and my boyfriend the basic tour to join him. I wasn't sure how to book so I called the brewery. The staff were very helpful. On arrival we were met by craig who gave us the tour of the brewery. He was very good and answered the questions we had. We were even able to taste the batch that had been brewed that day. After we finished the tour, we made our way to the bar to sample the different beers they had. Expecting small sample glasses, we were shocked to be asked if we wanted pints or half pints to taste! We started with the ones they had on tap and then another member of staff, Russell came through with big pitcher jugs of other beers that were ready to be kegged. Russell took over from Craig as his shift finished and continued chatting to us about the brewery. Needless to say the pitcher jugs were soon emptied and we continued to have a few more 'samples' from the taps! Our tour was at 2oclock and we were still in the bar at 5pm. We made a call to get a lift home and it arrived at about 5.20. The brewery was due to close at 5pm and at no point did Russell rush us to leave, after drinking a fair amount between the 3of us, I asked how much we were due to pay, and we're told that it was all included in the tour! With the legend tour, my dad also received a t-shirt, pint glass and a 5ltr cask of ale of his choice to take away. It was a great way to spend an afternoon with family or friends and would recommend it to anyone (and I normally don't like beer, but there's one for everyone!) great value for money and really interesting day out!

Excellent tour
Friendly, personal and professional tour explaining in layman's terms the process of brewing. Enjoyable tasting session afterwards with helpful tuition. Well stocked section of bottles to take away too.
