Small shop but plenty selection inside. We bought a few cheeses, oatcakes and chutney to take back to our wee cottage. We had a lovely night with real fire red wine and cheese. What more could u ask for really

Spent almost £20 on cheese and jams, older lady serving us was completely uninterested in us. Didn’t smile or even make eye contact. Awful experience and would t recommend travelling here.

Popped in this week for some of the blended/flavoured cheese to compare it against the award winning cheddar from Torrylinn Creamery.
There was quite a big order being prepared in front, we all know the cheese is £4 a wax round so I thought it was reasonable and acceptable to ask if I could leave the exact money on the counter.
The response was possibly the worst I have encountered in all my years visiting Arran. Quite remedial actually and training is required - unfortunately there was an air of arrogance from the individual, accustomed with overly confident owners who are out of touch.
Instead of saying "yes, certainly" and letting me go on my jolly way the response was (with indignation and irritation):
"Well if your not prepared to wait on being served I suppose you better!!".
I was in two minds whether to leave the cheese rather than the money, but rose above it as that would've been sore cheese.
Sad fact is, I've already told 20 people about the awful service and recommended 20 people to go to Torrylinn for the amazing, world award winning cheddar.
Arran service over the past decade has been nothing but impeccable.

We always visit this shop when we visit Arran and we always have an Arran cheese in our fridge. A small shop with a fabulous selection of cheeses and gift boxes.

My son and his wife bought cheeses on their visit and
we could not help but eat the varieties they purchased with

If one goes to Arran one has to come away with a variety of Arran cheeses - right?
Well we certainly did and are still steadily eating through our purchases and reminding ourselves of Arran every time.

Being French and big fan of cheese I tried thousands of cheeses and let me tell you that I know when a cheese is of a good quality...This shop have a big choice of delicious cheese as well as locally made Oatcakes.The staff is also very friendly and make you feel welcome...don't forget to try a spreadable creamy cheese (I forgot the name) which the lovely lady made me try, it's a local speciality...I regret not buying more :(

We stopped by here after walking the Fisherman’s Walkway. We both love cheese so it’s a no brainer. Lots of cheese to buy and a few to taste. It was hard to pick one! Mostly encased in wax, our travelled very well the next day back to Edinburgh.
