The Beacon café, owing to present COVID restrictions, is only open Thursday to Saturday, and with a coffee and cake menu. It does have great views of the river Clyde, and (here) a side serving of the paddle steamer Waverley a few feet away.

Comfortable seats, unrestricted views of the stage. A cosy wee theatre with a clean cafe bar, Very handy for the station, although there is good parking at the venue.

As a family we visited the panto at the Beacon to see Jack and the Beanstalk. The show was really funny. Well worth a visit. The Beacon is a lovely theatre, easily accessible.

My husband and I live locally and took a leisurely walk along the waterfront, deciding to head for lunch at The Beacon. We were so disappointed to find they no longer appear to do lunches. The only thing on offer was an honesty box for coffee or tea. There was no one around to ask what was happening, if the restaurant was closed permanently or if it only affected lunch. A notice on the entrance would have been nice. Poor show! Management are missing out on the opportunity to make the most of one of the best views in the whole of Inverclyde.
