We wanted to prove to our adult children that Scotland does have sandy beaches and that is exactly what we saw at Nairn beach. It is a beautiful spot with kms of uncrowded beach front. The only dilemma is parking. It can be tricky to know where to park if you are a visitor. The Nairn Golf course hugs the... More

This beach is lovely for children and adults alike. It is a long sandy beach with lovely blue sea. There is a nice harbour with small boats and yachts in it. Plenty of eating places nearby and a park for the children.

This beach is so beautiful! Huge long golden sand with huge sand dunes. The kids loved building sand castles and collecting stones and shells! Appears very clean and not to busy when I was there.

We stayed in nairn for a week and I thoroughly enjoyed walking on this beach in the morning or evening. It's very clean and the view is lovely. The further you walk out of Nairn the more peaceful it gets. I managed to walk for about 30 minutes one morning without seeing anyone. I do tend to get up quite... More

Nice beach which was only a 2 min walk from where we are staying in Nairn. The views are very nice and when the tide out the beach does stretch for a good distance so ideal for an early morning stroll. I gavent noticed many activities to do whilst walking up and down the beach which personally I dont really... More

I walked along Nairn beach in peak summer but it was far too cold for a bucket and spade. The Victorians believed that swimming here was good for your health, presumably if you survived hypothermia. The view across the Moray Firth is gorgeous and lots of dog walkers were having fun.The 1820 fishing harbour of Thomas Telford is worth a look as is... Scenic and quiet beach. Lovely watching the kites fly and strolling. There is a map that points you to trails or the little harbor.
