Overview
Inverness, the administrative and cultural capital of the Highlands, became Scotland's fifth city as part of the millennium celebrations. Affectionately called "Inversneckie" by the locals, the city lies at the north end of the Great Glen, where the River Ness flows into the Moray Firth. The city has a number of historic buildings, prominent landmarks and wonderful sights and has been a natural focus for lines of communication to and through the Highlands for the last two thousand years.
Inverness is officially the happiest city in Scotland and we will try our best to help you to transform into a local during our private walking tour that will take you to the town's famous and lesser known landmarks and to some of our happy places like "The Salad Bar". You will also hear about the sons and daughters of the town and the life in Inverness then and now.
Highlights:
- Inverness Castle
- River Ness
- Old High Kirk
- Abertarff House
- Inverness Town House
- and a few hidden gems

Review of: Bubble Tour: Inverness Walking Tour
My husband and I recently took one of Airts & Pairts' virtual tours of Inverness. We hope to someday be able to visit Inverness in person, but the virtual tour was a fun way to learn about the area from the comfort of our own home. Elle and Dan are both delightful and knowledgeable with an obvious passion for history. Whether you take an in-person tour or a virtual one, you're in for an entertaining time. I highly recommend them!…

Thank you so much for this glowing review, Dixie. We’re still chuffed to bits you’ve enjoyed your virtual stroll of Inverness and have been doing some research on the “blue door phenomenon” in the meantime, with our final conclusion yet to be taken. We’ll keep you posted!
