One of the most interesting museums I've been to - nice and small, much variety and the ability to get up close to things. Lovely helpful staff and a nice building

Lovely little place. Small but they've made very good use of the space. Great for a typical rainy day!

Took me about 90 minutes to go around. Plenty of stuff to see, I found the WWII stuff especially interesting.

Visited here one extremely rainy morning. Exhibits include Jacobite weapons and outfits belonging to John Brown (given to him by Queen Victoria) and Queen Victoria’s daughter’s dress and tons of other stuff. It’s well worth a visit and staff are lovely

Very much worth a visit if you're in Fort William. Huge collection of Jacobite artefacts but also a lot more from even prehistory. Kids loved it (ages 6 and 4). Nice little shop of books etc as well. Free entry!

Set back off of the main tourist street in Fort William this small museum is a hidden gem. Justly proud of the area's part in the history, geology, flora and fauna of the Highlands, this terraced museum crams a massive amount of displays and information...More
