OK for a start

We had visited distilleries before. The tour was delivering the information but lacked a personal touch and passion.

Arrived at the distillery a bit early for the tour, and got chatting to somebody behind the bar in the tasting room. Soon we found out (my boyfriend and I - keen beverage fanatics) we were chatting to Tom the Masher!! Tom then went on to offer us a private tour which we quickly accepted before he changed his mind... More

Went in to have a look in the shop after my friend recommended one of their malts. After I bought him the 10yr, I was asked by the young man if I wanted to go on tour as there was one starting in the next few minutes. I am so glad I took him up on this he turned out... More

I'll pick through the reasons to why this is worth only 1/5 Walking in the shop it is clearly outdated. I can live with as not every distillery has the resources to warrant a flashy presentation area. It was hard to understand what was for sale and what wasn't. Presentation overall of the shop was also poor. Once the tour... More

This tour proved very interesting indeed. This is a very old distillery which still has the original granite stores and two huge wooden vats. We had a extremely good guide who took us through the whole procedure. They still use original items and two main types of wooden barrels . We were able to enjoy a tipple of "The Dew"... More

We were staying in fort William, and we have a real passion for distilleries and we'd not visited this one before, but we shan't be returning unless there's real change. We walked in, we didn't get a smile or welcome from any of the staff. The shop is very basic, no typical souvenir things. I went to the toilet, the... More

Our whole department went to the Ben Nevis distillary for our christmas lunch. We had booked in advance and the chef Richard made up an amazing menu for us. The tables were all set with christmas crackers and decorations and name places. The food was just amazing....everyone was so satisfied with their meals. I had piping hot parsnip soup, then... More

Today, Richard and staff served us an amazing Christmas lunch for 20 people. The food was absolutely delicious, lots of unusual flavour twists and ingredients. We devoured every morsel. The service was fantastic, all delivered promptly and piping hot. Atmosphere was very conducive to a lovely, relaxing and tasty celebration lunch. Price was also very reasonable. Would thoroughly recommend this... More

We decided to visit the distillery on a rainy day in June as our plans to go walking were scuppered by the weather. We've probably been on a dozen distillery tours in the last few years so were pleased to add another one to the list, but compared to the other tours the Glen Nevis tour was certainly the poorest....
