Good for the price

We were keen to know how whisky was made and this brief tour fulfilled that. A real cheesy video starts the proceedings, but after that it's okay. This is not a top end tour, but... read more

This was an interesting visit with lots information on how whisky is made by Ben nevis and how other distillers differ in there production. We received a warm welcome from the young ladys on reception and our guide was freindly and and welcoming and eager to answer any questions she almost seemed disappointed when nobody had any questions on a... Our guide was very knowledgeable and easy listening and was able to answer any questions. The process of whisky making itself was interesting. There is a taster at the end of the tour and a chance to buy the whisky. I love the legend of the dew of Ben Nevis, a magical tale. Worth a visit.

We turned up on the day and managed to get a tour mid week. The tour started off with a very strange video about Ben Nevis Distillery, which was pretty terrible. We had a friendly guide who was happy to answer any question and showed a group around the Distillery, which i will warn you! Be prepared to get wet... More

I popped into the the Ben Nevis distillery at the recommendation of one of my colleagues. I went to the counter to ask a couple of questions about the whisky and tours and whatnot and the young lady (she was wearing a jumped that said something high school) was in the process of being condescending and almost hostile to a... saturday 6 august was the only bitter taste in my holiday in Scotland. Could not visit the distillery because I think there were not enough people for a group, I go at the shop and restaurant room where I wanted to taste and buy one or 2 of single malts bottle of whisky from Ben Nevis Distillery. I wait few... More

Paid a quick visit on Thursday the 4th of August after reading about this Distillery in my whisky book. I was looking to purchase a more unique kind of whisky on my trip to Scotland. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and had a look around the shop. I was treated to two malts, the young 4 yr old... More

I started off knowing almost nothing about the process of whisky making, and ended up with a fair knowledge of the general process and the particular choices made by the Ben Nevis Distillery. By any measure, that's a success. I also enjoyed the video introduction about the legend of the dew. Had very little to do with the rest of... More

Despite my wife calling to enquire and being told there is no need to book. We were turned away at 14.30 and as a coach party had 'taken all the public slots' so we were turned away. Really annoyed as the coach party were on the way out of the building soon after we arrived. We never got to visit... More

Arrived at 14.00 on Saturday and told that no more tours for the day (even though open until 16.00) . Another 8 people turned up around the same time only to be told the same- the other group had even telephoned ahead and asked about tours and prices .....staff never mentioned to them the last tour time or the fact...
