We had visited distilleries before. The tour was delivering the information but lacked a personal touch and passion.

We were staying in fort William, and we have a real passion for distilleries and we'd not visited this one before, but we shan't be returning unless there's real change. We walked in, we didn't get a smile or welcome from any of the staff. The shop is very basic, no typical souvenir things. I went to the toilet, the... More

Our whole department went to the Ben Nevis distillary for our christmas lunch. We had booked in advance and the chef Richard made up an amazing menu for us. The tables were all set with christmas crackers and decorations and name places. The food was just amazing....everyone was so satisfied with their meals. I had piping hot parsnip soup, then... More

Today, Richard and staff served us an amazing Christmas lunch for 20 people. The food was absolutely delicious, lots of unusual flavour twists and ingredients. We devoured every morsel. The service was fantastic, all delivered promptly and piping hot. Atmosphere was very conducive to a lovely, relaxing and tasty celebration lunch. Price was also very reasonable. Would thoroughly recommend this... More

We decided to visit the distillery on a rainy day in June as our plans to go walking were scuppered by the weather. We've probably been on a dozen distillery tours in the last few years so were pleased to add another one to the list, but compared to the other tours the Glen Nevis tour was certainly the poorest.... In many ways different from other distillery experiences but well worth the visit. Hector McDram was an entertaining introduction and the distillery itself provided another perspective of whisky distilling in Scotland. Loved seeing the stills from below! Guide gave a great tour, tailored to our background, followed by an excellent tasting! Unfortunately didn't have time to sample the cafe.

Having driven past this distillery loads of times, we finally made a point of doing a tour here. There are a lot of very mixed reviews here about the distillery, but I think that each tour is something that you should experience without prejudice and on it's own merits. We started the tour with the inimitable Hector McDram, telling us... More

Friendly and welcoming. We missed the tour times unfortunately but visited the shop. A staff member was really helpful, taking us through some of the whiskeys. Found a surprisingly lovely blended whiskey.
