Opened in 1993 by Prince Edward, Inverness Botanic Gardens, formerly Inverness Floral Hall & Gardens, are an oasis of calm and beauty within walking distance of the city centre. With each new season the outside gardens are an explosion of colour and texture, and borders are planted to demonstrate a wide variety of plants and growing conditions. The impressive glasshouses reveal the drama of plant diversity ranging from the tropical rainforests to arid, heat scorched desert.

A charming location with glorious flowers, both interesting and fragrant. Popped in to check out the Botanic Gardens and we were very pleased and charmed by the beautifully presented and cared for gardens. It is small and easily viewed by all ages but is is crammed with interesting plants and cosy little nooks from which to enjoy the flowers and... More

Visited at either end of a walking holiday down the Great Glen - first from the Premier Inn Inverness West and then a week later from a hotel in the city centre. Tucked away, it's in a little world of its own with a lovely atmosphere and a suggested entrance price of only £2.60! There is a delightful cafe as... More

Excellent for families, with fish, flowers and trails in the gardens, plenty of room for exploring many paths in the open garden.

The gardens are in a lovely park along the River Ness. They are arranged beautifully. They only ask for a donation, which is nice for a family. I wish we lived local to purchase some of the gorgeous plants for our garden.

it's nice that's all i can say but it is not well directioned, no signs on the road and it's more like a restaurant with a garden rather than botanical gardens compared to others in europe

It's not exactly a secret, but you do have to know what you are looking for to find it. I reached it by footpath along the River Ness. The tropical and cactus houses were well kept. There is a cosy cafe and a place to buy plants for your own garden

Bught Park Tropical House was built by Clearspan about 20 years ago and as a retired employee I thought I would call in and see how it was doing and I was very impressed with the displays and the way the staff had utilized the space on different levels.
