Our tour guide went by the nickname of Mr Fantastic. That describes him perfectly. For nearly the entire trip he entertained us with Scottish history, local geology, Scottish mythology, with a few tales that while amusing were well embellished. He also expertly drove the bus down some very challenging roads.

The scenery on the Isle of Skye is stunningly beautiful. By far the best that I have seen in the week that we have been in Scotland. This is a place that if you like the outdoors you should not skip.

We took this tour August 10 and haven't stopped talking about it.

Never ever have we had such an amazing tour experience as we did with Murdoch on the Inverness to Skye Tour. Imagine a kilt-clad historian, adventurer, entertainer, concierge, BFF, professor, tall tale teller, logistics coordinator and safety engineer - all in one. We could not have had the jam-packed full day of experiences without this guide, from start to finish. He was sincere, cheeky, gracious, knowledgeable, fun, and it was evident that he truly loves his country, Scotland. To see and experience these outstanding vistas through the eyes of a local was a true gift. From start to finish, all guests on the coach were placed first, and the day went by in a blink. The entire experience was full of WOW moments. Thoughtfully arranged, the logistics of the lunch pick-up with Lisa at The Isle of Skye Baking Company was a great opportunity to eat some of the freshest baked and protein- packed items we had in Scotland, plus a tour of an art gallery on a stretch break was an added bonus. This was truly a "pinch me - I'm in heaven" day, and we would do it all again tomorrow.

We upgraded to the front seats and were glad we did.

Easily the best tour of the entire trip! With only five short days in Scotland, we knew we had to make the most of the trip and I have to say, the tour of the Isle of Skye over-exceeded our expectations. Murdoch was an amazing tour guide... The amount of stories he had to tell and the ease with which he could keep us entertained was nothing short of amazing. History, lore, personal stories...Murdoch had it all. Thank you!!! As for the tour itself, amazing. I don't retake tours, but I'm already planning on coming back with my family and rebooking this tour. The fairy pools were absolutely amazing and the main reason why we booked this particular tour. I wasn't expecting all of the landscape to be so absolutely stunning... I enjoyed driving from place to place almost as much as actually arriving at our destinations. We also got a little bit of extra time at some of the castles which was unexpected and very welcome. Finally, you'll have the opportunity to purchase a boxed lunch ahead of time...do it! The food was so delicious and the lady who prepared it was super sweet and kind. It was an extra special touch for a ridiculously amazing day. Don't hesitate to book with WOW Scotland. This is a company that truly shines.

The 12 hour Isle of Skye tour was very well done & worthwhile. Nicely paced with rest stops & opportunities to walk & explore. Andrew is a knowledgeable & entertaining guide. I especially liked that he encouraged participants to get acquainted with each other, & his dramatic storytelling. The lunch ordered from Isle of Skye Bakery was generous & delicious though the online ordering was a bit tricky for those needing wifi.

This tour was the highlight of our visit to Scotland. Our guide Murdoch is a natural story teller and kept us entertained and informed on the history of the region throughout the entire journey. Our guide highlighted the historical significance of people and places associated with the sights we saw, and also touched on the natural history of how the landscape was formed. This tour has something for everyone.

There were plenty of opportunities for stops to take pictures of the stunning landscapes. The lunch provided by Liza from Isle of Skye Baking Company was delicious and well worth the advance order at the start of the trip.

Thanks for a great introduction to the highlands!

We chose this tour company because we wanted to support a local company. The reviews clinched the deal. We took the Isle of Sky with the Fairy Pools from Inverness, one of the few tour groups that include it in the tour, and we were beyond happy with our experience. Andrew, our driver, has a great sense of humor and amazing details to share where we stopped and entertaining stories that don’t get old. This company is so well organized they even arrange for us to order lunch from a local company (Sky Baking Company with Lisa) when we boarded and went and went and got it for us while we visited and shopped around the town. We didn’t have to waste any time in Portree waiting in lines for lunch (you could opt out if you wanted). Andrew gave us just the right amount of time at each stop and it was all just perfect. The tour is 12 hours but it flew by, perfectly planned stops and an overall wonderful day. If you are looking for this type of tour choose WOW tours they will not disappoint. The company may be one of the smaller ones but it delivers in a mighty big way!

The Ultimate Day Tour of Isle of Skye (WIW Scotland) did not disappoint! Along the way from Inverness to Skye our remarkable driver and guide Andrew kept us informed about locations and entertained with legends and history. We had several stops to stretch our legs and get some photos. A bit of free time in Portree, a delicious lunch from Skye Bakery, and 90 minutes to walk up to the Fairy Pools made it even better! Highly recommended!

We took the Ultimate Isle of Skye Tour from Inverness with our guide, Andrew. We started the Tour by visiting some hairy cows, then got great photo ops at Urquart Castle and Eilean Donan Castle. We passed through Portrey, where we got delicious sack lunches from Skye Baking, and then great views of The Storr and the Old Man of the Mountain and The Kilt and its waterfall. We had a nice hike to see the fairy pools and then returned to Inverness, while being regaled by a long and fascinating story of Edward Longshanks, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, which in no way resembled the movie Braveheart. Andrew is a great story teller.

You’re not going to find a better guide than Andrew. You won’t regret paying for the front seat upgrade. It brings you closer to Andrew!! Haha. If you can take a multi-day tour, do it. Also, a private driver is not as expensive as you might think. BUT, if you have a limited amount of time and want a great value, WOW is the way to go.

We were staying in Inverness and wanted to do a 1 Day Tour of Isle of Skye. Our tour bus driver was friendly and knowledgeable. He did a good job of storytelling. I also appreciated that he didn’t feel the need to talk for 8 straight hours and took some breaks to just us enjoy the drive. The scenery was amazing! Also I liked that our driver noticed an area that was scenic and not crowded and make a quick extra stop where we got some amazing photos. Highly recommend.
