There is a statue of three virtues - faith, hope and charity on the bank of the River Ness.
If you have visited Inverness Castle head down the hill away from the city centre you will find them.
As well as the statues there is also a small vegetable garden which is a little different.

Glad we read some of the history about these statues, gave us a bit of appreciation. Would be nice if some of that history appeared on an information sign at the statue. Nice to stop for a moment while out walking along River Ness.

A beautiful statue that was saved by the local council and placed by the side of the river ness in 2011, just a short walk from Inverness Castle. There is an information board telling you about it, so it worth taking a look if your nearby.

These "Virtues" are situated at the start of Ness Bank and were originally part of the YMCA building but were rescued by the local council and placed here in 2011. There is an accompanying board describing their history.

The history of these statues, which are situated in a nice location by the river, begins with the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA). A branch opened in Inverness in 1859 and at some stage when they were moving to a new building, the YMCA commissioned the sculpture of Faith, Hope and Charity - Christian virtues much valued by the Victorians - to stand on top of the new building.
How lovely that, somehow, they have survived and now occupy this riverside location.

The information board was fascinating as this lovely statue was rescued from a building that was due to be demolished. Superb site for this statue next to the river.

Situated in front of Ness Bank Church on the edge of the Ness River, Faith Hope and Charity stand tall.
We were walking from Ness Bridge to Bellfield Park and just happened upon the statue. A pleasant surprise!

I don’t know what’s it’s really about, I didn’t understand the religious history at all. The statue looks half decent so I’ll give a bit of credit to it.
