Brilliant pub

Lovely pub, great decor to match the great service, best pub food we have tasted in a very long time! Will definitely go back

We loved Hootanany. The food was good and typically priced. We got a late reservation. (You definitely need a reservation for supper.) We stayed for the music. On a Wednesday night, local traditional musicians come in and sit around a big oval table in the middle of the pub. They basically have a jam session. It was loads of fun.... More

We went to the Hootananny on a Saturday afternoon following a recommendation from the tourist Information Centre and we enjoyed every minute we spent there ! The place is old , smelly , very noisy , the chairs are uncomfortable , the tables are small but the atmosphere is incredible ! It is what foreigners have in mind when they... More

Went to visit the new cocktail bar on the top floor what a disappointment. Didn't stay for a drink and went downstairs. The decor in the place looks like cheap tat and something out of the 80's with light up cubes which doesn't fit in with the rest of pub. They apparently spent a fortune on the bar shame cant... The local press had a big spread on a Jazz Blues Lady appearing here on the 26th .Three of us wanted to go and we booked 3 tickets on line . On the morning of the show our tickets had not arrived so I contacted the venue to be told the gig was on the 27th . I pointed out... More

We loved the mini ceilidh! Buzzing atmosphere, with a mix of nationalities and great local sources beer. Great venue, our new local!

We were recommended to go to Hootananny by our Airbnb host and went our last evening in Inverness. The live music was great and the beer selection was solid. We did have a hard time getting a seat even though we were there early but we didn't go early enough to eat food either. Would love to go back!

Thanks to Ross our waiter who made the difference! Friendly fast and efficient. Food great and of high standard. Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Only down side we didn't get to hear the band as my daughter was 16 and had to leave before it started.

I visited Hootananny on a Saturday night with 4 other friends. We got there as Ted Christopher was setting up. By the end of the night the whole place was absolutely jumping! Wide mix of people, couples, groups of friends, rugby teams! Definitely recommend if you're in Inverness. Now I just need to get rid of my hangover.

Four of us visited this pub on 31.10.15 because it had rave reviews. Unfortunately there was no live Scottish music on the evening we were there but we had booked a table and decided to eat anyway. The burgers ( 1 beef, 1 venison and 1 chicken) were over-cooked and dry, they were served on dry rolls with a couple... More
