Water doesn't get much more mysterious than this 23 mile stretch running through the Great Glen in the Highlands of Scotland. There's no better way to experience Loch Ness than by boat. Jacobite's award winning tours and cruises get you onto the water and into the heart of this iconic landscape. This is a whole lot more than simply sight-seeing. We've been running trips on and around Loch Ness for over 30 years and most of us live here.

The nice thing about going to Scotland in October is that it's the off-season. We did this boat trip on a autumn afternoon. The boat was comfortable on the crew was very friendly. You had the chance to be able to buy scotch whiskey or beer or other drinks on the boat.

If you want to cruise in Loch Ness I higly recommend to do it with this lot. The cruise is bout one hour while you can seat and relax watching the sonar screen to lock out for Nessie or hang around the caffe, or sunbathing on the upper deck. The tour offers also a guide who will keep you amused... More

Fabulous review, glad you enjoyed your cruise in comfort and are delighted you were kept amused by the live guide on board. We just think there's not much point in being knowledgeable if you can't put it across in a fun and entertaining way! Thanks for making the effort to come and visit us in February, it's very much appreciated! More

Its my 2nd time. No difference, the service and experience is amazing. I will do it again for sure. The guys on board are so funny and knowledgable. The drinks options in the bar is not bad too.

Absolutely delighted you enjoyed it just as much the second time round! The majority of our guests are only here once in a lifetime yet we get plenty of repeat visitors. The trip was super convenient as we were picked up from inverness bus station. There's plenty of different packages changing how long you get on the Loch and at the castle as well.

Thank you for the review.... and thank you for coming to visit us in January, it was very much appreciated! We sometimes get asked why we even bother operating all year round and it's simply because we genuinely feel the Loch has plenty to offer no matter the season! Visitors have such different itineraries and requirements when in the area... More

Highly recommend this for everybody willing to search for the lochness monster. A lovely and comfortable two hour tour which included a visit of the old castle on the banks of the lake.

Excellent review, absolutely thrilled that you enjoyed your time on the 2 hour Freedom tour! It's a fantastic way to combine a cruise on the Loch with a visit to the iconic ruins of Urquhart Castle. Viewing the castle from the unique perspective of the boat really makes you appreciate how big the castle was before it was blown up!... More

We went on the "temptation" tour and it was so amazing. The bus driver Alan was one of the nicest persons in the world and so fantastic at his job. The tour on the loch and at the castle was so beautiful and it is worth every penny!

We took this tour of Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle a few days ago. The tour was excellent, Loch Ness is beautiful, especially seeing it by boat and the castle and tourist center provided a fascinating glimpse of history. Our driver and guide was a friendly, upbeat Scotsman named Alan who made the tour a success with his knowledge and... More

It really is a must, worth it's money. You can't go to Loch Ness and not go on a cruise! Lovely cafe that serves gorgeous cake in the Clansman Hotel while waiting!!

This is obviously somewhat of a biased opinion but we're thrilled that you agree that the best way to experience the Loch is from the unique perspective of the boat! We genuinely feel the views of the Loch and Castle are inaccessible by any other means of transportation, hence why the company has been on the go for forty years.... More
