We enjoyed a lovely walk along the Sandy beach. It was so quiet and peaceful, with just the gentle roar of the ocean.
Easy parking just beyond the golf club with just a few steps down to the beach itself. Feels like it is a good mile from one end to the other.

This was our local beach as bairns and was just as pristine as we remembered it.A few dog walkers and really happy to say they all cleaned up after their pets. This beach is well worth coming off the A99 to visit stunning views too

Glorious weather today made this a great place to relax with a book while the children paddled and played in the sea. The best way to access the beach is to park at Keiss and it is a short walk from there along to the golden sands.

Follow signs to reiss beach just of the main road, this takes you down to a car park opposite the golf course.Miles of lovely sand, Walk along the dunes or down by the sea. It will take about 1/2 hour walk to take you up to wester burn. Sometimes in the summer you can watch Salmon jump here.If you are really lucky the sun will shine but dont bank on going for a swim, the water is freezing!

I live near here so I should know, it is a very beautiful part of the UK. A very rugged coastline June and July are awesome as it stays light until midnight and you get a perpetual light all night. fab!

A great quiet beach.
Stopped here on my way to John O’Groats. The signage gives a brief history and explains the concrete blocks from WW2.
Great for dog walkers.

We came here on a wintry afternoon in January. There was just one other person (a friendly dog walker), and when we came previously, it was similarly empty. The beach is just off the main road from Wick to John O’ Groats. There is ample parking and some sandy steps leading down to the shore. The beach itself is a generous stretch of coastline, part pebble which goes into plenty of sand. It was incredibly calm. A small brook or river runs into the sea, through the pebbles. You have sight of Ackergill Tower, Castle Girnigoe and perhaps Noss Head Lighthouse further along the coast. We even saw a seal taking a bob in the water. It’s good for a quiet walk, if it’s cold, take a second pair of socks. Would definitely return and can imagine on a summer’s evening it must be brilliant.

Great place to walk, swim, fish or just enjoy the view. Rarely busy and a great place to walk. You can exercise dogs, jog, play cricket, hockey, body board or do all sorts of activities here

We were lucky enough to stay in Ackergill Tower and this was our view. It is a lovely place I would recommend to go see.
