There are no signs advertising this place but if you have an interest in ancient history this is a beautiful spot full of wild history. The remains of the roundhouse are clear and there is the story of the monument too. Well worth a look up!

AKA Mervyns Tower
Jun 2019 • Friends
“The Caithness Archaeological Trust calls Nybster Broch one of the most spectacular Iron age settlements in the north of Scotland.” Mervyn’s Tower is the place to get an overview of the broach. The tower has decorations of carved gargoyles. When the site was excavated, stone tools, pottery, metal objects, and pottery were found. The views of the surrounding area are beautiful. Ideal for the archaeological enthusiast.
