Glen Strathfarrar is Beautiful. Has Ancient Caledonian Pine Forest. Saw Oyster catchers,red deer,swallows, cuckoo,bilberry bee or mountain bee, sandpiper,hooded crows, song thrush and much more. Well worth a visit.

A beautiful Glen. I'd love to walk there. When I visited I was driving.... It's only open at certain times so check it out first!

Entrance is by ticket from the gatekeeper. Beautiful 15 mile drive brought amazing wild countryside. Red deer easily seen. Loch Monar at the far end is spectacular and there is good walking along the shore paths.

I have been told that the Glen gate will be manned for cars from Saturday April 1st 2017. Closing date for the gate is the last day in October . Remember that the gate will be closed to cars all day Tuesday and Wednesday Morning....More
