    Amazingly Beautiful
This is a gem of a place, an extremely beautiful Loch with sandy beach, forrests and rolling hills in the background it's picture post card at the very max. There are plenty of boat and canoe option's to take to the water but you can just chill and go al fresco on the beach, have a nice stroll or enjoy a drink and snack in the cafe, the hot chocolate was spot on. The sun was out on this early April day and I could imagine how good it would be in summertime, you'd do well to visit anywhere that has a sandy shore more pretty. A must visit.

    Decent experience
Came here recently while looking to explore the Cairngorms. Initially planned to hike around the lake, but upon discovering the beach, we decided to enjoy the sand and sun instead! A surprise for sure, but a welcome one.

    Great day out
Cracking day out at Loch Morlich, can get busy near the cafe but you can certainly find a bit more space along the south eastern side. Gentle sloping beach extending well out so little danger for kids. Good water sports, cafe facilities and public toilets close by. Very popular with dogs that enjoy the water. My bulldog Cassie swam for the first time and loved it.

Beautiful loch with Sandy beach and watersports
Great beach area with water sports facilities: several of our group hired paddle boards and enjoyed a good hour on the water. Beautiful loch surrounded by trees and sandy beaches. Cafe facilities available but didn’t use them.

    Beautiful scenery and very clean
Loch Morlich is a lovely area. It is dog friendly and a great place to spend a few hours relaxing and taking in the scenery. Our dogs enjoyed playing in the sand and having a paddle in the clear water. There is a large car park (charges apply), which is just a short walk from the sand. It is a popular area for families, dog walkers, and for those who enjoy water sports. There is a dog friendly cafe based at Loch Morlich, which we didn't use, but it looked popular and would consider the next time we visit.

    No toilet open!
If there's a charge to park, at least open 1 of the toilets! I'm happy paying a few pounds & understand why we should do so, but some eedjit has decided that there's no need for a toilet to be available. You have an amazing beach, wonderful views, open spaces, Loch Side trail. But so disappointing that there's not even 1 of the 3 toilets open, not even the disabled. The tap at the rear shows the waters switched off, I suspect till April 1st! Tell me, who thinks this will attract Winter visitors to the area to boost the local economy? Ps: we did visit the Cairngorm centre & spend a little in the cafe!

What a stunning beach and loch! We were lucky to visit here on a beautiful sunny September day and did the walk that takes you all round the loch. The water was so calm and clear and there were lots of dogs and paddle boarders/kayakers. A must if visiting Aviemore. We parked at the Glenmore visitor centre as we did the Green Loch walk in the morning and Loch Morlich is a 5 minute walk from there so you can make a day of it!

Loch Morlich has a circumference of just under 4 miles and you can take a trail all the way around. There are also other trails veering off so you can extend the hike / trail run. The car parking areas are often very busy in summer time so do head there early. It is an excellent place to visit in any season, including winter in the snow.

Visited here due to excellent reviews on trip advisor and wow it didn’t disappoint. We were lucky with the weather and this location is breathtaking. The water is so clear, with some snow on the mountains. There is a beach, cafe and you can hire paddle boards, canoes and kayaks etc with friendly helpful staff although these have to be booked online due to Covid.

It’s a beautiful spot and a great way to spend a day.

The only 2 small slightly negative things if I had to really be picky would be the toilets could do with being bigger due to visitor numbers and the car park is really busy as well and could do with being bigger, but this has to be expected with people looking to visit.

Would highly recommend, we had a great day.

We came here for a few afternoons with our adult daughters who were able to hire paddle boarding there. The beach is really good, not overly busy, with good parking facilities. The loch itself is not too big but perfect for canoeing and water sports. There is a cafe and hire centre.
Recommend.

It was a hot day today, and as the only beach for miles, Loch Morlich was very busy. Parking hard, but not impossible, to find. Get there early or be prepared to be patient. The beach, water and surrounding views are stunning. Best spots are further round the shore, where the woods provide some shade and the beach is narrow so less people sitting between you and the water. Loch Morlich Watersports provide a variety of activities - canoes, paddle boards, sailing and kayaks. You need to book ahead, but we were able to book a slot for the following day. Cafe on the beach, not sure about toilets. Car park is £2 a day, but road parking is free.

Unfortunately this used to be a fantastic holiday destination. Now it’s been infiltrated by some dragged up types who leave litter, dog poo in bags , and light fires on the beach in droughts.
Then you’ve the management - first they don’t stock the loch with fish so it’s barren, then they ban fishing in case someone gets hurt. Nasty business that fishing. What a load of rubbish. People have fished that Loch for decades without a problem.
Then management cleared all the boats off the beach - health and safety again. Really. No. Trumped up fun suckers I’d say.
Campsite has needed investment for many years and not got it. I’d recommend you stay at the local hotel “The Coylumbridge” but maybe read the reviews first, as it’s gone down the pan like much of the area.

We got some cracking weather days, and this is a unique spot to enjoy them.

First things first though - is the "sandy" beach actually sand? If it is, its very gritty sand. To be fair, at the shore and in the loch it turns undeniably into sand, and anywhere on the beach we had shoes off etc, so maybe I'm picking hairs!

Either way, to have a beach like this, with the pine forest and mountains behind evokes images of other countries. I certainly don't know another spot in the UK like this.

Some folks were braving the April cold waters for a swim, its shallow a good way out.

There's a cafe and watersports centre with picnic tables at one end of the beach, toilets, walks by the loch, various parking sites etc, so well equipped at the same time as feeling like a natural beauty spot.

The south side of the lake (sorry, Scotland, I mean loch) is quiet and the wide path goes through wild woodland full in August with bilberry pants full of delicious fruit. At the east end there are toilets, a cafe, various attractions and signposted trails to mountains. Can be busy on a sunny day in summer.

Stop in the main carpark, take some bread with you to feed local ducks who happily come to every car parked! We took a cycle path around the lake, a bit tricky to stay on at places as not properly sign posted. Easy path, cant also be walked. Great views, fab location! Must visit if in the area

Stopped here on the way to Inverness and wanted to experience the highest beach in the UK. It is a busy place but you should be able to find parking ok, parking isn't free so take some change, it cost me £1 for an hour. We had a picnic here while watching the water activities, very pleasant indeed. The sand was lovely although I thought the scenery would have been more dramatic but it was pleasant enough. Probably too spoilt seeing other more breathtaking places around Scotland. Good place to go with kids and for the water activities. If you fancy a picnic there's a great farm shop at Rothiemurchus on the way.
