We know what we are letting ourselves in for when we go to the Cairn Gorm mountain. A piste with limited signposting, which is unhelpful when visibility is poor as it was for the 2 days we were there. It is hard to orientate when you can't really see too far in front of you. Put more signs up. The... More

Had to show my girlfriend this place having working in area. The Funicular Railway is excellent, great views of landscape whilst grovelling up and down, also views from top exceptional, skiing good too although on this occasion we didn't ski. The café as changed, just to get more people in, which I can't blame them, but the loss of the... More

Took a trip to The Mountain while on a 2 day visit to Aviemore. Travelled by car to the car park at thel base of the Ski Resort. Took The Funicular Railway to the Top Station, spent time in the facilities at the top ncluding restaurant, exhibition, and viewing platform. Had a short time outside watching the skiers and snowboarderstwhile... More

1200 mile round trip and the Cairngorms didn't fail to offer the views and friendly people you'd hope to find, has to be in my all time top 5 places to visit. Apparently it's great for climbers and skiers but I'm neither so can't comment Can't wait to return

Why Cairngorm Mountain? That's like saying Mont Blanc Mountain. The name of the mountain is Cairngorm and the whole mountain massif is called the Cairngorms as in the Cairngorms National Park. Only some city based advertising copy writer could come up with such a name. A bit like 'Nevis Range'.

Visited the mountain railway during August bank holiday...despite of little windy weather the mountain railway experience was amazingg... Plenty of parking at the base and the capsules run once in 15-20 mins so almost no rush and queue to get to the top. View while the capsule ascends or descends is amazing and on a clear day one can easily... More

This is a ski area but we are not skiers. We do enjoy mountain environments though. Our visit was at a time of limited snow but some skiing was happening. We had a great ride up the mountain in the funicular train. If visibility had been better the view from the train would have been spectacular. The cafe at the... More

This could be and should have been an excellent facilities. In the 8 days we were there we were unable to ski on 5 of the days due to lack of snow on some of the slopes. Whilst this was down to weather not once did the many snow machines get put on despite them being dotted around. The restaurant... More

What a great way to see the mountains. Took the railway to the top, where there is a nice place to eat and drink. The capsule itself gives itself to lovely views as it has large windows. It is a wonderfully smooth ride. Well worth the time to take in the spectacular views at the top. Very cold up there,... More
