Just wonderful

Whatever the weather this is a must if you are in the area. The funicular is a great experience and the restaurant fairly good BUT the views are just fantastic in sun or snow!

After looking forward to traveling to the top of the Cairngorms I wasn't disappointed with the view, unfortunately I was at the cost of travel to the top of the mountain and the fact that a family ticket only includes two children, when most places you visit these days includes three. Because of conservation you can't get onto the mountain... More

The views on the way & at the top of the trip are absolutely beautiful. In the welcoming center on the top there was a museum of sorts, a gift shop, viewing platform, and an informal restaurant with pretty good food.

Take the funicular train to the top of the restore runs here - no matter what season - you will be impressed by what you see and by the committment to the environment

With the railway cars arriving every 20 mins, it is not long until you are going to the top...there is the option to walk up and down or just down...we chose to do both on the railway....we all enjoyed it. Only takes 8 mins each way.

There is a funicular that takes you to the top of Cairngorm mountain. Unfortunately it is designed so that to get the view from the top you were required to climb multiple flights of stairs to take you through various opportunities for the owners to take your money in the gift shop and restaurant. Some people never even figure out... More

OK the journey is only 8 minutes each way but the views are absolutely spectacular. On reaching the top there is a very good exhibition on the mountain and its history, a shop with the usual gifts, viewing platform, and a very good and inexpensive restaurant.

The funicular train journey was great looking at the views going up and down. Peaceful but cold at the top but calming. Food was good and decent portions in the mountain restaurant . We all had a great time.

This is about a tenner each for adults. Great for walkers and or climbers. Now it takes you upto the plateau. To climb to the summit you do need relitivly good fitness and kit. Jackets warm gear minimum as weather changes quick.
