Absolutely loved this wildlife experience. Cabin was warm and cosy, John the guide very entertaining and enthusiastic. No guarantee the animals would turn up but we were lucky they did. The pine martens and badgers were the stars of the show. Such a privilege to see them at arm's length and be able to photograph them. Can't recommend this trip... More

I took my 2 teenagers in the hope we'd be able to have at least a brief view of a Pine Marten. Having read the latest reviews of this year's sessions before we went however I became worried as nothing was being reported. My fears were nearly confirmed when John, our guide, said he hadn't seen one for the previous... More

We had visited before many years ago and remembered the visit fondly so were looking forward to the visit greatly. This time we had two young visitors with us and were really keeping our fingers crossed that we would see something of interest. John greeted us with us enthusiasm and was friendly from the moment we stepped out of the... More

We were lucky enough to be two of only four attendees and that meant we could easily move around the hide, not miss anything, and get plenty of photo opportunities. The pine martens were a little illusive, but the badgers were highly entertaining and the mice presented a real photography challenge (they are really fast!!). I love wildlife, so this... More

Hello, thank you very much for your lovely review and that's great to hear what a fantastic evening you had. The mice certainly provide some great entertainment for visitors whilst they wait on the Badgers and Pine Marten to come in. Hopefully we shall see you again in the future! More

Although it was over two years since our last visit it was good to read all of the reviews and see that it hasn't changed. We went with a view to watching wildlife and this was one of the highlights of the holiday. There was easy access for me in my wheelchair and plenty of room for me to move... More

We were very unlucky with the weather on our trip to the hide, it had been a beautiful snowy day which turned in to pouring rain- no creature, let alone pine martins would want to be out in it. Fortunately we didn't have to be, the hide is warm and cosy and the gourmet set up for the creatures couldn't... More

Hello Cathy, thank you for your review and for letting us know how much you enjoyed your experience at the hide recently. Sometimes the anticipation of waiting for the animals to appear in the darkness is just as exciting as actually seeing them! Hopefully next time you visit the weather will be kinder and the Pine Martens and will come... More

Had a fantastic evening with our guide John. This is no ordinary hide visit - it is all enclosed with windows so that you can see the wildlife very close up. Badgers and pine martins aplenty. And lots of interesting information on tap. I would highly recommend this as an experience away from the crowds.

Had a fabulous night with John the guide. 8 badgers visited the hide, 3 pine martins and several wood mice. I booked directly through the spey side wildlife Web page. The cost was £20 per adult. It was worth every penny. The hide was warm and cozy and John was great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that enjoys... More

An excellent way to get close to hard-to-see wildlife. The hide is warm, comfortable and well designed to allow fantastically close up views of ordinarily shy wildlife. John the guide is very knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about his subject. We were lucky to see 3 Pine Marten and at least 7 Badgers on our visit, although nothing can be guaranteed... More

The hide was modern, warm and comfortable. So close to the animals and able to photograph them. The guide John was excellent and very knowledgeable. Only thing was the pine martins were having a night off...well that's nature for you. Could have happily stayed all night 😊
