We visited on Saturday and it really was not a great experience.
Firstly, the staff seemed uninterested and the briefing was boring and unenthusiastic.
We were booked in for 2 rooms and started with Creep. We didn't finish the room and, as avid escape room fans, this was disappointing. I won't give much away but the room is quite different to most others I have played but I was not made aware of this at any point of the booking or prior to going into the room. I ended up having a panic attack and had to leave the room with the staff seemingly uneducated in helping a customer dealing with such issues. I really feel like you should be informed in some way of what to expect in the room. I feel you should be given the option of having the full experience as they set it out or playing without the extras. As we were not able to finish, it was a waste of money and time travelling from Edinburgh.
That issue aside, the room does not have much going on. There are a few padlocks dotted around and a couple of puzzles to solve. A lot of it was basic but some things really did not click at all. Doors opened without solving anything and the GM had to explain several things which were not obvious. Parts of the game also did not work. We left around half way through but did have another game in the Lost Tomb booked later in the day.
We spent some time in the car calming down before finally going back in for the second game after my partner checking there was nothing similar in this room.
We didn't need a new briefing after having one earlier in the day so went straight to the room. The room looks quite cool with sand everywhere but again, there is not much going on in terms of the puzzles with most of them not working and having to be explained. The GM also popped his head back in the door to say that there are doors which are meant to open in one of the rooms but they are not working and if we tried to use them and they fell on us, they would die so he would pop back to let us out and back in!!! Not really what you need to hear.
When asking for clues the GMs were pretty much just giving you the answers which was a bit disappointing. It was really poor in terms of service from the GMs, clearly it was pretty much just a job for them rather than people who are interested in this sort of thing that you get in other companies that makes the experience better.
We also believed that our final time should have been on the leaderboard but we were not offered anything like that or even a picture with a time sign. The staff felt cold and unfriendly to us at this point although we had seen them excited and celebrating with the team in the room before us with their leader board time!!
We have another gift voucher to do the final room which we were planning on doing with friends but we will not be making the trip back to Glasgow for this as it was so poor. We also have some vouchers for the Dundee venue but may reconsider this also.
I really do not recommend these escape rooms.

10/10 - an amazing time was had by our team of eight on Saturday night, thank you. Despite being slightly late (0/10 review for TOA Glasgow, grrrr) we were warmly welcomed. Mr Duntocher was a fantastic host, the pre-room banter was hilarious! Then when we were in the room he certainly had to work hard for the money à la Donna Summer as (quite a few) hints were requested by over-excited teenagers!
It's obviously difficult to write much about the activity without spoiling the experience for future visitors, but the room was well thought out, with challenging clues, and totally immersive. DCI Taggart would have felt right at home!
Very highly recommended and suitable for all ages and abilities, we'll definitely be back to try the other rooms and activities in the future. The highlight of a special trip for a lovely group of young friends after so long not being able to engage in normal teenage life due to covid. Thank you very much for the laughs, screams, and memories.

My husband and I went to The Lost Tomb with another couple. None of us had been before and I was a little apprehensive, but we all loved it. The briefing was informative and funny, our group of four people in their sixties was unlikely to be climbing up the walls! Danny was pleasant and chatty and gave us clues when we stopped making progress. It was very satisfying when we solved things, and with a bit of help we solved a lot. It was really frustrating, but in a good way, when we timed out. I would definately go back, to complete the last room. I am planning to buy it for my daugher, her husband and two teenage grandsons, I think they will love it. Take a torch or a phone with a torch, those padlocks can be hard to read in a tomb!

We were a group of 6 on 7th August, axe Throwing for my dad's birthday. We all loved it. Josh our instructor was great fun (and very patient😂). Even if you can't throw axes (like me) I'd highly recommend.

A group of 6 of us did the rage room for our friends birthday and it was brilliant. Laura really looked after us and made us chuckle that we felt like she was part of the group. I’m tempted to book a weekly slot for stress relief... great fun smashing stuff up and you can pick your own soundtrack to help. Health and safety is second to none but doesn’t stop you from having fun. After we were done, the bosses let us have a sneak peak at the axe throwing too. We will be back for rage room fun and maybe even an escape room- staff were fantastic! Highly recommend

I did Axe throwing with my friends, and the there was maybe 10-15 people in the session so we were split into two groups with an instructor assigned to each. Our instructor only paid attention to the girls who were in our group and just kind of ignored my friends and I the whole time. He would coach them, show them hands-on how to do it, but he just sort of watched us mess up and say "aw so close"... he even walked out of the room a few times (no idea what he was doing, but he was gone for at least 10 minutes the first time) and left us in the cage to throw - nothing bad happened, but in the briefing they said neither of them would leave because it was dangerous for us to throw without them there...? Just felt like our instructor was super disinterested in us and only wanted to instruct those girls. Which is a shame because the other instructor seemed to be really friendly and helpful for the other group!

Really fun experience. There was 6 of us in total doing the CSI Glasgow room, in hindsight I think a couple more people would have helped. We managed the first room (just) but not the second one. It was great fun none the less and something different for my sisters hen do.
We did the rage room before hand Linda was really accommodating when I was booking to make sure the timing was right for both. Really recommend trying it out.

This has been booked since before the pandemic. It was for my younger daughter's 16th birthday, now she's nearly 18! She, her big sister (20) and all their friends really all enjoyed it and had a great laugh doing the NCIS situation. When they got out they were all well chuffed they'd managed to escape with seconds left. From what she says, my daughters will definitely be back..and maybe her mum and I will too.

We went as a group of 4 - one adult and 3 children (ages 14, 12 & 10) and attempted The Lost Tomb. We all loved it and would totally recommend it and can't wait to try another. The chidlren were just as good (probably better if I'm honest!) than the adult.
I wouldn't be put off by a smaller of people as they were so helpful if you needed a clue.
Go and have a great time!

Could anyone give me some info about the Zombie experience? I'm thinking of getting it as a gift for my son (age 21). Thanks

My daughter wants to take a group of 9 of her school friends for her 10th Birthday Party. Are the rooms suitable for that age group ?
Written January 9, 2018
As long as someone over the age of 18 accompanies then that will be fine. I would suggest doing bank heist as it is a room for 10 people. All the other rooms are max 6
Written January 27, 2018
There is a suggested age of 8 just to fully enjoy the experience and to be able to contribute. Other than that, the only restrictions are those on the zombie room which is 18+

We will be traveling in a group of 4 adults and 6 children; 2 are aged 5 and 6. Would it be ok to bring them into the riddler and jail break rooms? Thank you.
Written September 10, 2017
Yes I'm sure u will - u would have to ask the guys that run the place but there is nothing in the 'riddler' that would scare the children. Hope u have a fab time like we had xx

How much is it for 2 people?
Written February 17, 2017
It is £70 per room regardless of the number of people participating. There is a bank heist room which is over £100 but you need a minimum of 4 people for that room. If you want to book for the next day it won't show on the booking website but if you phone them direct 07421995910 they can set you up. This is what I did and the girl was really helpful, she even helped me choose the room as I couldn't decide...great choice in the end.

Hi
I am sorry but there is no wheelchair access as we are in an old close with a spiral staircase.
Apologies
