This is my 7th tour and 3rd time doing this specific tour. I do it every few years as the stories and tour info are evolving as more people go on the tour and share so it’s always interesting and fresh. The guides are always very friendly and helpful. I would recommend any of their tours- I’ve done them all numerous times.

This was an excellent tour, the guide was very friendly and engaging with the small group. She had a wealth of knowledge and lots of stories to tell and we could see how passionate she was about the subject. We visited many fascinating and interesting locations on the 2 hour tour and would recommend this to music lovers.

My wife and I had the pleasure of Phil's company during a two hour walking tour of Merchant City and Trongate during which he regaled us with facts and tales about some of the musicians and other entertainers who have made Glasgow such an enthralling place. Even though we live in the city centre and think we know Glasgow fairly well we learned a lot. He was an excellent raconteur.

Although the main focus was on music he emphasised the close links between the music and arts scenes, and provided an insight into the area's social development.

A further nice touch was receiving a link to a Spotify list of music associated with Glasgow, from Will Fyffe to Simple Minds.

A splendid tour. I'm happy to sign its praises!

This is the second Glasgow City Music Tour we have done and they are great. The tour leaders are incredibly knowledgeable and personable and I would thoroughly recommend the tours. Having lived in Glasgow for many years ( not now sadly) we had actually been inside some of the venues which no longer exist so it was lovely to take a trip down memory lane.

We went on the Music Mile Tour of Glasgow's rock 'n' roll sights... sounds... and smells! So much history and so many tales, told in entertaining fashion by our brilliant guide Fiona. No stone was left unrolled in this rattle through decades of music history, covering all genres and many famous names. The stop-off in Nice n Sleazy was welcome and finishing the tour on stage at King Tut's is a genius move. We look forward to diving into Glasgow's musical story again on the Merchant City Tour!

A 2hr stroll through Glasgow's Merchant City with our host Fiona and her librarian knowledge of Glasgow's music scene, past and present. Tales of Stan Laurel, Ziggy Stardust and Simple Minds kept us hooked all the way through and we were lucky with the weather too. Highly recommended.

Great tour of the city's famous misical landmarks with our great tour guide Phil. Hugely entertaining stories and facts I never knew about venues I've visited many times but never knew the full story of their history. I would definitely recommend this to any music fan wanting to know more about Glasgow's famous musical heritage.

An enthralling, fascinating exploration of the popular and folk music history of this great city, whose UNESCO world music city status is monumentally beyond question. Tour guide Fiona's boundless passion and knowledge made for an unforgettable experience as our city stroll took in the Britannia Panopticon, the Humblebums, Fruitmarket and Barrowland ballroom. Can't recommend highly enough - Glasgow city council please take more care of Barrowland Park!

We had wonderful time walking round Glasgow and listening to our knowledgeable and engaging tour guide. Although there were a lot of local and Scottish band references I think tourists to Glasgow would still enjoy the tour and the talk. Thoroughly recommend this - especiallly for people who have memories of Glasgow music in the 70s!
