So I was on my business trip, delivering some essentials, when I came across this quaint, rather cosy little pub near the famous kelvingrove gallery. Upon entering the pub I took a brief look around the outer infrastructure, which looked splendid. When I entered, finally, it was so much more than I expected. The 18th century Gregorian decor was sublime,... More

I recently went to the Lismore one Saturday night for a couple of pints and a catch up with some old friends. This was the first time I had been here despite passing it for years. The atmosphere was good and they have an excellent selection of whisky's which we proceeded to sample. Near the end of the night they... More

One rainy afternoon, which was also my last day in Scotland, i decided to take shelter in Lismore. An excellent decision, within 15 min my melancholic feelings were morphed into joy. The atmosphere is 100% scottish, their whisky collection is outstanding. Fire-place, a mixed and friendly crowd, a perfect place to knit conversations with strangers or just to sit and... More

Good music on in background and had good banter with... More

I took some Australian visitors to the Lismore and they were charmed by the array of malts, the traditional music, the superb stained glass windows and the general ambience of this pub. It’s what a pub should be like they said. Check out their music programme to find a genre that suits your taste.

Friendly pub with a good selection of malt whiskies - and fascinating artwork on the walls. Handy for Byres Road / Partick
