Just a square isn't it. Good meeting place, couple of bars around about and it's good at Xmas. Other than that, it's a good square, 4 sides, maybe more of a rectangle but that doesn't have the same ring to it.

This spacious and well-maintained square is rightly renowned as the heart of Glasgow, with an array of statues commemorating many significant figures from Scottish and British history. However the venue is also an occasional haunt for some of the city's more troubled characters and like some of its London counterparts, can attract beggars.

When we visited the World cup for Homeless was in full swing. An amazing buzz of activity. It was alive and vibrating with pipe bands playing and adding to the atmosphere. The Square was the perfect host venue. I was proud to be Glaswegian although I no longer live there. Not a doubt in my mind that the new slogan "People... More

Seems to be a very beautiful square but, unfortunately, I fell over a period of some football matches that hosted in this square so, I couldn't see it as it should. Although, I admired the architecture of buildings, the statue of St. Vincenzo and the flowers. Don't forget to visit City of Chambers, which is located next to George Square..... More

Statues, seats and information boards. The City Chambers, which is well worth a visit is on one side of the square.

The square connecting almost everything in Glasgow with Queens Street station on one side, the city chambers on other and the Merchant City on the very other side. There is a huge park with lots of greenery and pigeons playing around. You can find the hop on off tours on one side.

Busy and popular square In The heart of central Glasgow. A stones throw from queen street station and just off Buchanan street and the merchant city. Many events such as a Christmas fair/ art exhibitions/ homeless World Cup/ parades / live screen events demonstrations take place in this public space. There are also benches and grassy areas which are popular... More

The center of Glasgow. Many statues of the local gentry and a great place to people watch. But is has as many pigeons as St. Mark's in Venice. Some nice shops around the square
