The Arches is a unique club that takes you back to the old skool feel of dance music. The place is under the railway bridges into central station and holds a variety of club nights every week. From house, techno and trance to live bands and rave music. Check listings and get your dancing shoes on. My last visit was... More

Great venue for gigs, but bar prices are way, way over the top. Left feeling robbed! Totally spoiled the evening. CAVEAT EMPTOR!

When we arrived it was not clear where to go as looked as though it was getting set up for a DJ, then seen the stairs to the restaurant and bar, was made very welcome by the staff. ordered the fish and chips, £9 each. The fish was lovely really enjoyed it, could have done with a few more chips.... More

I went here with a friend on advice from someone else and I was pleasantly surprised. The Arches is a fairly unique venue located under Central Station and the restaurant makes good use of the space. The service was very good throughout and the cheap cava offer was a nice surprise. The food was great and very well-priced and I... More

Have been here on two previous occasions - both satisfactory, but bog-standard fayre - fahitas, burgers etc. This time, I don't know whether the menu is changed frequently, or if they have a new chef, but wow! What a difference in the food! Still great price (set choice of 2 or three courses with wine). Had a refreshing seafood starter,... More

I paid £80 for a conference dinner held at the Arches. The idea of the conference was for medics from all over Europe to meet, discuss, get to know each other, make links and work together. The dinner venue was packed and the noise was deafening just from the talk reverberating off the stone walls. Because everyone had to shout... More

Visited here to see Scott Ian on his speaking words tour. We got there a bit early so decided to eat in the restaurant. Scott Ian happened to be eating there too. Anyway the food was very good and came to the table steaming hot. No chance of luke warm food here ! The show was enjoyable and the venue... More

Over the years I've been to the Arches countless times, usually to see a live act, or being dragged along by friends. My average experience of the Arches: Wait in the gender-segregated queue (classy) for a while, get felt up like an inmate by a bouncer, get charged £2 more than the ticket price for an "on-the-door fee' (if not...
