I’ve just added a review of the Bon Accord, so thought it only fair to add a review of the State Bar, as it holds exactly the same appeal for me. It is a great real-ale pub and has won the CAMRA Award for best...More

We went here recently on two occasions. One of these was a quiet evening drink before dinner and provided us with a great taste of a traditional Glasgow pub. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was vibrant with a mostly local feel. We...More

Visited here after a recommendation on Twitter. Fantastic range of real ales and sky sports TV. A proper traditional feel to this boozer. Find this bar and have a pint.

Good weekend bar.. Staff are little preoccupied with regulars.. seems like a good bar though.. Good selection of drinks.. Though didn't have my favourite..(carling) ... Old Manish with a nice vibe...

This bar is like a hidden gem. It's got a fab selection of ales and is like how a pub should be. Welcoming and relaxing.

I like this place. It is a little noisy at night but the beer is excellent and there is a great circular bar in the centre. Lovely old pictures on the wall and sayings on the woodwork.
