Pollok House and gardens are well worth visiting and beautifully maintained. However, the entry price to the House itself is a bit steep at £7.50 especially for a family, I understand this used to be free for Glasgow citizens don`t know if this is still...More

A wonderful wander through a wealth of artwork, furnishings, and history. And a magnificent library. Very nice food in the restaurant too. Recommended.

Nice to finally get round to visiting Pollok House despite having lived nearby for many years. The ancestral home of the affluent Stirling Maxwell family, it's almost like a stately home with some beautifully furnished rooms. The collection of Spanish paintings is a real gem,...More

Where it all began! You may wander the house self-guided (nothing with forced guided tours!) and take pictures :-) A bit confusing is the parking situation as it is unclear if you may park right in front of the entrance (which is also unclear) or...More

No, not inside but I think you can sit at a table outside with your dog. You can leave your dog at the porch at Dandelion Cafe in Newlands Park ( also on the south side of the city, though very small )and water is provided.
