Great setting... house a bit sad.

The parkland is beautiful.... The house inside looks slightly sad. The lighting needs to be seriously improved to show things off to their best. One or two rooms were unlit and... read more

The parkland is beautiful.... The house inside looks slightly sad. The lighting needs to be seriously improved to show things off to their best. One or two rooms were unlit and drab. The dust was piling up in places too. Central too lights do nothing for rooms. The guides were helpful and friendly. The place itself needs some TLC... It... More

We loved this place even though they are renovating it right now and it was not open. We still walked around the property and explored the gardens and trails. Even said hello to the Clydesdale horses in the stables. :)

We're National Trust members so it was another house to visit for free but I'm not sure I would of paid the entry fee if I was not a member. The house was nice from the outside and we could walk around the grounds for free. We went in the house and it smelled heavily of stew or soup which... More

Love this place. Frozen in time. Great day for the whole family to enjoy. Educational for younger children with a vision into the past.

After a nice walk in pollock park in very wet weather ; We had a nice lunch . Soup and sandwiches and tart . All very reasonable . They were able to cope with making me a skinny latte which not all traditional cafes do . Staff were friendly and efficient despite the place being full.

Pollock House is in a beautifully setting. At the time of our visit the house was clad in scaffolding due to extensive repairs due to be finished later this year. This meant that some parts of the building were out of bounds and some views from windows were blocked or obscured by the scaffolding. This isn't the reason for saying... More

The collection of Hapsburg Era Spanish paintings (and those from the Early Stuart Era) are worth the visit alone. The house itself is somewhat odd in that you can tour the basement, which to be honest kinda reminded me of a Junior High School built prior to WW II. The second floor is currently closed off and there is scaffolding... More

Part of the Scotland National Trust. Very interesting home with plenty to see. Not a large house but still would recommend to visit. Be sure to visit gardens and stables in the back.

First visit to this lovely house, spoilt a little bit by the works taking place. The cafe is situated in what was the original kitchen, very well preserved. The staff situated in the rooms were very helpful and knowledgeable.

Visited here on Saturday with friends who enjoy cultural visits. Whilst we knew about the scaffolding outside we didn't realise how drab and depressing it was inside. Very nice and helpful staff and volunteers however not worth the entrance fee and the house was very dilapidated inside. I imagine in its day it would have been lovely. The cafe however... More

Dear Susan, Thank you for your feedback on your visit. I'm glad you enjoyed the café and found the staff helpful. I am a bit confused by your comments about the entrance fee as we are not charging admission at the moment due to the impact the works are having on our visitor experience. We have been trying to strike... More
