football fun

This is a great way to experience the culture of Scotland by going to a football game. But from the mouth of a local, don't eat the mutton pies unless you like them!

Went to Hampden for the stadium tour and the national museum of football with my disabled mother. The tour was excellent and mum was escorted in and out of lifts by fantastic staff making the whole tour accessible for her. The visit was for Mum's benefit as I'm not a football fan but like her, I found the museum really... More

Went to the stadium for a tour today & took some teenage friends as one of them was a big Marseille fc fan. The stadium is very impressive even when empty. Brings back all the memories of the games I've been to in the past. The tour was made all the better for a fantastic guide named Andy. He was... More

Great exhibit explaining Scottish football and the rivalry, not just with the English ! Well laid out, particularly enjoyed the movie footage of the 1920's 145,000 crowd. The main stadium was closed with a concert planned but a guide took us on his own short tour, accommodating or what. Fascinating

I have been on stadium tours before but this is most certainly one of the best. The tour guide was informative and funny and the museum has something for practically any fan from around the world. A five star day out.

First time in Glasgow and from the outside the stadium is huge!! Perfectly fitting for a Beyoncé concert of which thousands of people attend! However, many of the staff were mostly abrupt and rude throughout our time there which was a let down. Also a pain not being able to smoke if you smoke frequently as we was inside for... More

This is by far one of the worst stadiums that I have had the misfortune of visiting. The atmosphere is almost non existent, the capacity for the so called national stadium is a shambles 50,000 people when even the Welsh have a 74,500 seater stadium, the Irish have an 80,000 seater stadium. It shows the very state of Scottish football... More

Just been to the hampden museum and tour, and I am sad to that after living in Glasgow my whole life and have three boys (two of which lay football), this is the first time I have did it. Was much better than we expected. Kids were kept busy in museum Antrim our tour guide did a fantastic job showing... More

Seen several sporting and music events here. Large stadium where the atmosphere is always electric and friendly. Well organised with lots of bars and food selling stalls. Lots of public transport options which is good as its a distance from town.

We went to the Beyoncé concert at Hampden; the concert itself was very good. We had decent seats in the stand with a good view (the ticket price was £100). The price of drinks was £5 a pint (Lager/Cider) or £2 for a soft drink which is expensive but what you expect to pay at an event of this magnitude.... More
