This ancient open space is my favourite park in Glasgow. It has the imposing and interesting People's Palace within its grounds. The Doulton Fountain is a highlight. Attractive tree-lined paths extend off in all directions. The old drying green remains - calling to mind the days when tenement housewives used this space to dry their laundry - the washing poles... lots of play areas for children, not to mention lots of green open wide spaces where they can run around or kick a ball. There was also an area where they could ride go-carts or bikes around a track. A pleasant place to take a stroll, or let the children run around and enjoy themselves.

The kids had so much fun. The play areas are amazing. There's a little enclosed one for little kids and a bigger one for the older children. Lots of greenery for them to run around and burn off some energy. I recommend the go karts behind the okay area. The fountain is also beautiful. Don't want this holiday to end.... More

If you really have enough time, it's worth the visit! It's one of the largest parks in Glasgow, where you can take endless walks and enjoy nature. A perfect place where you can ride a bicycle, read, write or simply close your eyes and let your thoughts wander.. ✿

A perfect place for children to run around and be entertained the play area, then all go for a walk and see the Clyde in all its glory. End your walk with a coffee in the Peoples Palace where you will find more free entertainment for kids.
