Visited Pollock House eventually after touring the gardens first! No signs to say where entrance is and we and others had to ask ground staff where to go. It is a lovely house to visit but to compare it to Downton is a little pretentious!...More
Formerly the estate of Pollok House, the park covers a huge area and has within it the 18th century Pollock House and gardens and the modern building housing the stunning Burrell Collection, which is currently closed for refurbishment.

Glasgow has many fine public parks but pollok country park is one of the best in my opinion.It is well kept and covers a large area with lots to keep the kids amused.Will be even better when the burrell collection re-opens

A large, beautiful country park not far from the city centre. Glasgow is so well served with parks but this is incredibly big and great for family outings - an escape from the city without the hassle of travel!
