We'd set out to see the Hunterian Museum and the Macintosh house. Having been to University art galleries before I wasn't really expecting the scale of the collection. The Whistlers in particular were a revelation - I find seeing a good collection of an artist's...More

Lovely gallery located near Glasgow university. My main purposes of visiting was seeing James Paterson's work (part Of The Glasgow boys) but there were many other wonderful works to see. Would highly recommend if you near the university or kelvingrove.

A good way to spend 30 minutes. Very knowledgeable guides. Book in advance. Only £5 or £3 concessions. Not the easiest place to find. But well worth the effort. A hidden treasure.

This small gem of a museum is right around the corner of the much larger Kelvingrove Art Gallery and has much less foot traffic. A few native Scottish painters' works are shown here. Their Whistler collection is much more noteworthy. Very worthwhile to see add...More

Went to see the Bute collection as we were also going to the Mount Stuart Manor on the Isle of Bute. The main gallery had a very nice collection and well displayed.

We had no idea this collection existed and were delighted to find it connected to the Hunterian Museum. One should plan time to visit both.

Review by Dr Sim. Worth a visit by tourist if you have the time. Wide collection. Long walk through. University of Glasgow is the 4th oldest university in UK. Many donated items. Regards Dr Sim

Sorry I don't know the answer. I was only in Glasgow 2 days last month on a short break. I do not live there and so do not keep up to date on what's on.

Not sure since we didn't actually go to the show but it should be worth it as Scottish comics are great eg the Beano and the Dandy,
