Amazing beach and great for walking along on a warm sunny day. The beach is very clean and with the old course in the backdrop the scenery is very beautiful. One of the nicest beaches to visit.

Visited in springtime and it was cold and windy but what made the beach really beautiful was a black stallion with white sock and a blaze on the nose running without a bridal or saddle loose along the beach.

You can visit the location where Chariots of Fire was filmed and at the same time see fantastic views outwards across the sea or towards the town and golf course. Plenty parking or can reach by foot.

Beautiful beach but brace yourself for the wind... There are also a few patches off quick sand, don't get caught out!

People do, but stay away from the dunes, because if they catch fire, the damage is long-lasting and very destructive.
