West Sands Beach is a nice Beach area right next to the Old Course in St Andrews. We enjoyed a nice summers evening walk along the beach, it's a very pretty area.

We travelled to St Andrews to visit the aquarium and originally parked on a car park in the town centre as it wasn't clearly signposted where the car parks are. You can't fail to notice this beach from the aquarium and decided to drive there...More

Super flat, clean beach which is a excellent for playing on or for a long walk. Free parking by beach but lack of decent toilets let it down.

Great beach for walking and not far from town centre. Free car parking and toilet and cafe facilities in season.

Immaculate beach which well worth a walk and paddle - if you are lucky enough to get some sunshine . We walked quite a way along the sand then returned via west sands road so as to view the golf courses. Was a lovely walk

This is just a drop dead gorgeous beach. The view of the town from the beachfront was awesome. The sand is amazing.

Beautiful beach, perfect for long walks and blowing away the cobwebs. Recently we walked right to the end on the understanding that there are usually grey seals there - and there were! Children thrilled, me relieved (and thrilled) - lovely experience.

Lovely walk or run along the beach. Nice breeze. Great start to a morning before touring. Lots of pups belonging to locals.

Lovely wide expanse of golden sands. Perfect for families. Must be one of the best beaches in Scotland.

People do, but stay away from the dunes, because if they catch fire, the damage is long-lasting and very destructive.
