Only slightly more forgiving than its contemporaries on the seaward side of the Links, the Eden Course was built in 1914 by Harry S. Colt whose use of natural boundaries and severe bunkers provides a course full of character.

The Eden Course dates from 1914 and is well worth a round as it gives you the St Andrews experience at a cheaper price - especially in the winter when it's £22 with all the summer greens still in play. The first three holes run alongside its famous neighbour The Old Course. The undulating fairways are fairly forgiving provided you... More

Congratulations must go to the staff of the links for the condition of the course and excellent greens. Yes we had to use mats on the fairways but to be honest , when you see how good the course is , you want to ensure that you assist the team to keep it that way . I can't deny that... More

A warm sunny September morning, and the Eden course was looking spectacular - and fully deserving of its biblical paradise name. The greens were exquisite. On first view it looks flat and deceptively straightforward. Its defence however lies in its undulating and often elevated greens, and the bunkers. The bunkers are very, very deep, and a brush with more than... More

Very nice links course. My son and I are very amateur golfers, and we had a great time. The rough is of course very difficult, but there are a number of reachable holes that made for a fun day.

Played for the first time today. It was a great course and presented well and would suit as an introduction to the golf courses in the area. What history this place has. The food in the clubhouse could have been better but the beer was good.

Played this on a Tuesday morning, starter was friendly and allowed us to play off white tees without issue. Course is a good mix of holes, with some tough holes into the wind, but importantly it gives you a chance. Conditions were very windy, but the greens were quick enough, fairways and tees were excellent. We finished, went to use... More

This golf course came recommended as my wife is a novice golfer and it was fantastic. Lovely location, staff and club amenities are first class. A very smooth golfing operation at the Home of Golf and we shall return for more of this superb golfing "Mecca ".

So at 100 years old this year it's not as old as the main three courses on the property in the town but that said most of the holes are an interesting test. It does lose it's way a little in the middle of the back nine but still a pleasent walk. As with all the courses the staff and... More
