The gardens are ever changing so try to visit a few times a year and spend as much time as possible wandering around the ever changing gardens. New butterfly greenhouse that I have yet to visit but plan to soon. Also a cafe and shop have recenty been added, both of which are a welcome addition. Plants can also be... More

This Garden might be small as Botanical Gardens go but it is well worth visiting nonetheless. Interesting glass houses and well set out grounds. The rockery is especially attractive and there are lots of paths to explore in the wooded areas. There is a small café and shop. It's family friendly as well although the butterfly glasshouse has an extra... More

The gardens are amazing and well kept. A new addition to this garden is the butterfly house, if you go make sure you have your camera a great situation for some pictures.

Not a huge botanic garden, but a decent range of gardens - aquatic, herbaceous birder, veg plot, woods, rockery and greenhouses - but not in the best of condition really. Some serious weeding and tidying needed; but, as many staff are volunteers, cannot be too critical about this. There was a tropical butterfly event in in one of the greenhouses... More

Myself and family , which include 2adults,2 senior cisterns and 2 kids £36.70 . We were there for about 1hour. The coffee shop wasn't a good coffee shop it was just a shed , no food , just cakes. Nothing exciting for the kids to do. The green houses are run down and rotting . Waste of money when you... More

The gardens are generally well kept and pleasant to walk around. The hothouse area is less impressive though the butterfly area s excellent with a great range of butterflies to marvel at or photograph.

Visited with another family. Fairly cheap and under 18s are free. Well worth extra money for butterfly tour . Excellent collection, not too cluttered and guides are very knowledgeable. Nice grounds.

This was a nice surprise. Plenty to see with the rock garden being our favourite. Good morning or afternoon out.

We went here as I'd looked online and saw the gruffalo theme to the gardens. We were so disappointed to find when we got there that it was no longer on and all that was left was 1 gruffalo sculpture. We went anyway as children were so excited. They are lovely gardens and the kids loved finding the gruffalo but... More

Hi Shelley, Thanks for leaving a review and we are delighted you enjoyed the Garden. We are sorry that you were disappointed by the absence of the Gruffalo trail. We have tried very hard to ensure our communications don't promote past trails and exhibits, but we know that many visitors use reviews as a guide, which mention past activities. We... More
