We usually don´t like gardens but this one is really amazing and beautiful. Lots of beautiful flowers and plants. The butterfly exhibit was really good. The weather wasn´t the best so I think we would really enjoy it on good day.

Full of expectation but not fulfilled as it was in poor condition and looked like it was, a garden badly run by a local authority. If you want to see a good garden go to Branklyn in Perth - 2 acres of wonderful garden. Sorry...More

What a hidden piece of heaven. The gardens are truly amazing and so accessible to all levels of mobility. It is so tranquil, the perfume from the flowers and freedom heady. Staff very helpful and coffee delicious.

We went to the garden mainly for the butterfly exhibit which is well worth the entry fee on its own. We walked around the gardens and glasshouses which were enjoyable even as people who are not that into plants. I think for an avid gardener...More

A visit of two halves, a long wander around the well laid out gardens with lots of rare plants ( and even a Gruffalo!) . Lots of different pathways so make sure you don't miss anything. Then onto several different glasshouses with everything from cacti...More

We visited the gardens on Sunday and enjoyed walking around in the sunshine. The lady in the kiosk advised us of the many picnic spots, benches and tables which are dotted around the gardens. However most of them were spattered with bird poo. Given that...More

Sadly not, the Garden contains plant species which would be poisonous to dogs if consumed, so they are not allowed inside.

Hi Rachel. Yes, there is! The First Friday of each month is free for Botanic Garden entry. Any paid for exhibits are still charged for, so currently entry to the Tropical Butterfly House would still be £2.95 each.
