One for desperate Polar Bears

No doubt a good venue for music. But, my god, it would need to be. Bar staff have the personality and welcoming spirit of zombies. The decor is 20 years out of date and it would be hard to guess when the clichéd artifacts were last cleaned. In addition, it is bloody freezing. There is no real attempt to add value. It's like 'you've got live music, what more do you want'
Dunfermline, you desrve better

The Passing Sages at PJs

I've always considered this venue one for young people but I decided to go along one Saturday night to see this band. The band was great and I love the venue, I'll be back. Even the doormen are relaxed. Wonderful sound system.

Best music venue in Dunfermline
Jun 2019 • Couples
I've been to a few gigs/nights out at PJ's. Always a great friendly atmosphere.
The sound system is superb and they have really talented musicians each week.
Not been to the weekly karaoke sessions yet, not sure the world is ready for my "unique" tones.

Proper small music venue

Iconic music venue with a great small venue vibe. Gets all the best bands and has the buzzing atmosphere to go with it. Good bars with friendly staff. A particular mention to the door staff who were courteous, professional and very helpful.

We came to this place as we like to do a spot of Karaoke and we were told this pub did Karaoke on a Sunday, and that it started at 11pm, we initially went in earlierand there were only about 4 people in, but it was really cold and damp, actually felt colder inside than out, however we decided to come back later for a song, much busier then and lots of young people mostly students, probably because its open till 3am on a Sunday, so all good, up my name goes, and later I started to hear the start of the song, so rushed up only to be told another girl had put the song up before me, (who I'm sure wasn't even in the pub at the time), later she told us she works there and that was only one of three songs she could sing, but that I could go up later and sing the same song!!! she also offered to buy us a drink, we declined and decided to leave after that, not the most welcome of places and won't be returning

Superb venue for a gig night out
Oct 2018 • Couples
Great venue for a gig, wee bevy and a wee jig. Reasonable door prices and drink. Seats on top level for those that don't want to get in on all the action. Me I'm right in the proverbial mosh pit
Saw Blondie tribute band Dirty Harry who were fantastic, as good as the real thing!
They were supported by Sods Law who were very good and gave great 90's renditions from a variety of artists.
Brilliant Saturday night... Sare heid Sunday.

Jonathan Wilson and Davey Horne

Quite a nice venue very small & Intimate good size for a gig. My advice would be to stick to bottled Beers however as the Guinness was putrid and the Draft Lager, which tasted better when first poured - and therefore bubbly and freshly foamy seemed OK, but had the same awful 'Off' taste after a few mouthfuls. Don't claim to be an expert or anything but clean your pipes FFS - Simply telling customers "I won't argue with you" and offering to pour them another pint of something doesn't cut it in the world of customer service.

Great gig though and can't believe it's possible to see an artist of Jonathan Wilson calibre in 'Dunfy' for a few quid - rock on (But clean your pipes or whatever it takes please?)

Went to PJs last week to see the AC/DC Experience, thought it was a great wee venue for a gig. Staff were helpful and friendly. Not much waiting time to be served. Very good, I will be back.
