Dropped in with friends for a quick pint, nice friendly staff and a good atmosphere with the regulars . Seems to be a good haunt on Fridays and the Weekend with live music upstairs . Handy if you are going to a match . Bus station is only 2 minutes away

Popped in for a quick pint before going for a nearby meal.
One way system in place due to covid but we entered through the exit by mistake, no one challenged us. We were asked to sign in and temperature taken once inside, would it not make more sense to do this at the door?
No staff members were wearing masks, barmaid had an exemption lanyard, girl serving tables didn't even make that effort although that wasn't a big deal as they mean nothing anyway.
Customers were shouting very loudly, clearly been in all afternoon, hugging, shaking hands and even if the pub was observing covid guidelines inside half the pub was gathered in a group outside smoking at the door allowing no social distancing for those entering.
It's this kind of establishment that makes me lose any sympathy for the hospitality industry when they complain about being closed down.
I'm giving two stars because the staff were very welcoming, the pint was my first for months and we'd both had our two jags so part of me was judging as if in normal times but sadly times aren't normal so get your masks on, be stricter with your clientele and let us all feel safe to enjoy our new found freedom.

Tired old pub really just for bar flies. Needs a bit of money splashed on it but if it's only for drunks looking for cheap booze suppose it's not going to improve.

arrived at coadys bar and was greeted by a polite doorman and duly went upstairs to listen to the several bands that were on that night.
Blonde barmaid was fantastic and was great fun and a dry wit.a lovely night was had by all and will be returning.

Very friendly staff, great atmosphere, cheap drinks. Not much more you can ask from a little pub. Had such a good laugh watching people sing karaoke and dancing. Great little pub.
