A brilliant tour of the Edinburgh Beer Factory. It is not slick and smooth operation that leaves you informed but a little hollow. Instead, it is run by people who live and breathe these products and who truly believe in what they do.
You are given a beer when you arrive, which is always a good start! The tour then begins with a little bit of chat about the product and the background - which is really interesting.
You then go into the brewery, with another little beer in your hand, and get an explanation of the process, with a few more little top ups as you go. The brewer really knew his stuff and kept us all interested and informed. He patiently answered questions and just kept the tour (and the beer) flowing with all the information that you needed about the brewing process.
I felt that there was a real honesty to this tour. I told the guys that it wasn't slick and that I meant that as a compliment. Slick tours don't have heart. This tour has heart and soul....and a lot of beer! I genuinely loved it - and I had only booked it as a treat for my husband without any expectation of enjoying it myself!
I have been raving about this ever since I have done this and feel it is only fair that I share the love through TripAdvisor so more people can go along and enjoy the experience.

Have been drinking Paulozzi for a few years now and never understood the Edinburgh / Italian connection of the name. Really interesting and educational but beat of all, knowledgable, passionate folks making great beer. !

Visited the EBF after buying a Groupon voucher. We were greeted by a friendly member of staff who showed us to the bar.
The bar man was friendly and informative without being boring. The lager is lovely and they have a good selection in the gift shop. Bought a lager and glass set and my son-in-law loved it.
Will definitely be buying a growler for next weekend when my friends are visiting.
Can't believe I live near and didn't realise it was there. Well worth a visit!

I'd read that the new craft lager Paolozzi is a finalist at this year's Scottish Beer Awards and going past the factory on the tram from Edinburgh airport, thought I'd pop-in. I wasn't disappointed. I had a very informative tour, followed by a sup of the new lager. It's got great flavour and strength. Please can we get some down in London? Cheers!

Was lucky enough to be shown round this wonderful new and exciting brewery late last year.
The head brewer David gave us a great insight into their process complete with tasting at different stages of brewing.
I would encourage anybody whether a small group or a large party to jump on a tram, see the city from a different perspective and stop off (tram stop right outside) at the Edinburgh Beer factory for a fantastic day out. The beer tastes great too, which helps.
Great people and great place. I'll be back soon for a growler!!

This place has a HUGE selection of tasty brews & even has some wine, gin & whisky for those who aren’t big beer fans. Went on a Wednesday afternoon & it was empty (yay for us) so we had great service & got to watch them making beer. Cheers!

Brilliant tour! Fascinating and very engaging, made even better with samples here and there. Plus hats-off to our guide Alex, who remained cool and composed with a rather slightly boisterous stag party! Definitely recommend.

Took my dad and father in law as part of their fathers day.
Ive done it before, it's excellent.
I live just up the road, is there any chance of a pipe of the saigon being pumped straight to my house?
Also, Ellis got me drunk!
