Unusual business model
Nov 2021
Visited today, 6th November, 2021. There was no indication whatsoever of the films presently being screened. We asked an attendant if there was a list anywhere. He said there was not. He told us we would have to link up to find out what was being screened or alternatively return to ask him the same question in 30 minutes time. Not sure what the 30 minutes had to do with it, as the attendant did not appear to us to be busy, nor was there anybody else waiting for his attention. All a bit of a mystery to us and certainly a very strange business model indeed. Perhaps, easier to screen films from the comfort of one’s home?

The last twice I have been to the vue I have had to miss at least 5/10 mins of the film because the men's toilets up stairs were closed not sure why but it's very annoying after paying to see a film and missing some of It plus it says on your advert before the film starts at the end of the film we will be escorted from the screen by a member off covid safety team well the last 3 times we have been in a matter of weeks there has been no escort why advertise this when it does not happen

Great Nights Viewing at Great Prices

Attended the screening of “The Invisible Man” here with my girlfriend for an evening showing. Paid £4.99 a ticket which is very reasonable to some I have been at. All the usual goodies to buy before entering a new, top of the range cinematic experience 👍🏻

Very comfortable
Feb 2020
We went to see 1917 in the evening. The time was our second choice, but it was a last minute visit. There are 3 classes of seat, ours being a recliner with a table and drink holder. The sound was good and the view good. It was stunningly quiet throughout the film. Good offering of snacks if required.

Don't pay expensive for prices, take your own!

Yes, it's allowed. Vue policy states can take own food ând drink, as long as not smelly food or alcoholic drink.

If can afford it, then good, support them they do rely on the income to pay staff. But if can't afford, take own goodies, coffee etc guilt free. The staff are aware of this and won't embarrass you. If they try, tell them you've read the policy.

Google it yourself if you don't believe me.

Great cinema experience
Dec 2019
On our many trips to Edinburgh we often go to the cinema, and now always come to the Vue cinema as the seating and whole cinema experiences is as good as it can me.

Very surprised at prices, very reasonable and all very comfortable reclining seats. Very clean, good sound and screens. Only thing was a load of kids had come in and tried their luck taking other patrons seats, there was quite a bit of disturbance getting them to move etc I'd like to add this wasn't by the staff but by fed up paying public.
Fortunately it didn't spoil the film.

Spacious Cinema
Oct 2019
This cinema isn't one that I would visit regularly however I have watched a film here from time to time. It's very spacious with comfortable reclining seats. The snacks are fairly standard and overall Vue Ocean Terminal provides an enjoyable cinema going experience.
