We stopped in for a pint after spending the day at the downtown sites. Very good spot to just chill out, they had a good selection of beers, stouts, ciders, and ales. It looked like they also had a full bar. As we were just chilling out, some other folks came in asking about a Fringe shows that was going to start soon. So, we joined in and upstairs we went to a neat little room for a very entertaining one man show. We spotted this place after dropping off laundry at Euroclean Laundry just down the block. (The wonderful woman there took care of us on a bank holiday; forever greatful). I will be back especially if they are a Fringe venue again next summer.

Went to Crags during the Edinburgh Fringe to see Bristol Improv and thought it was great! An excellent, upbeat show in a lovely, intimate room upstairs. Bar staff were very nice, drinks were cheap and the show lineup was great, would definitely reccomend if you're looking for somewhere chilled!

Love this place, drinks from £2.20 a pint, a great atmosphere, really friendly bar staff. I was there for Halloween and the staff, let along the punters, were dancing on the tables! At other times there has been free pool and a free jukebox.
Although it doesn't sell food, other than snacks, you're welcome to bring in your own.
And best of all? It's dog friendly!

I absolutely consider the Crags the best wee pub in the Southside. It was the first pub l ever visited in Scotland many years ago.And after much controversy and difficult times through the years.This bar team have thrived to make it as popular a local as any of the other many pubs in the neighbourhood once again. It's a place where you can just go and have fun be it pool, music, karaoke or the sport on multiple televisions. And the bar staff continue to go above and beyond in order to assure your visit is always a memorable one. Right in the heart of one of the busiest hotel and guesthouse hubs. With bus links to all points of Edinburgh right on the doorstep. Let it be your first stop to a brilliant night out!!

Hadn't visited this bar since it was known as the Southside Steamie and have to say I was very impressed. Reasonably priced drinks, free pool table, free jukebox, sky sports on multiple big screens.. what's not to like! :)

Nice place, friendly bar staff nice little dog at the bar and a good pint of Caley Best. Not far from where I was staying at Pollok Halls.

Fantastic pub to let your hair down. Staff are very welcoming, great atmosphere, the music/karaoke is great and most importantly no hassle!

Crags bar has great atmosphere and very friendly. Tracy the manager makes everyone feel welcome and im glad to now call her my friend . Great pool table and jukebox and the karaoke is a great laugh . Everyone I have took along love it .

Brilliant staff, brilliant customers, really cheap drinks!!
Went here for my birthday night out and had a good night, staff were lovely had the karaoke on and the place was buzzing!! Will definitely be back
