Graham, of GreyLine Scotland, is the best tour guide that I have ever had, and I have had too many guides to count in more than 5 countries. As a former guide myself, I like to think that I can tell the difference between an exceptional and an average guide. I spent many summers offering guided tours at the Canadian... More

I booked a one day tour to visit a distillery, so we decided to do it with grayline because of their pick up service. I must admit it's a little messy because they use different buses, but in the end you get to yours. We had a wonderful, sunny day, and our guide barbara was very attentive and informative, and... I highly recommend Gray Line for touring around Scotland. I had 5 tours from Loch ness to Alnwick and I enjoyed my solo journey (Booked them all online - fast and easy). Being a solo traveller and a student wanderer (Been to the US, Southeast Asia, Germany, Australia and New Zealand) I liked the safety and the time management that... More

Our driver & guide Brian was energetic and sweet, kept us engaged with the history of Scotland. Good, enjoyable, relaxed and a beautiful trip. Hotel pick ups in the morning was huge help.

The three stars are for the wonderful Brendan, our vivacious host, and our driver John. We took on a 12 bus ride from Edinburgh to Loch Ness and back as our first ever tour bus experience. The bus was comfortable and well appointed (WC). The tour lost two stars from us for the absolutely dismal stops we made. I honestly... More

We took the day trip to Lindisfarn and Alnwick Castle. As other people have written before our guide also spoke with a broad Scottish accent so that I could not make out everything he said which was quite sad. Unfortunately the poeple behind me in the bus soon started talking (in their native language), proabably because they didn't understand a... More

We went on the 9.5 hour tour. Brendan was our guide and John our driver, both were kind, patient, courteous, and informative. The rain didn't really affect our trip as we were able to see many of our sights from the coach. Loch Lomond was beautiful - only a 15-20 min walk from the drop-off point. We chose not to... More

We booked the Doune Catle/West Highlands and the Loch Ness tours at our hotel desk. On both days our wonderful driver/guide was Brendan (with an "n") who wears a kilt (don't callit a skirt!). The tours were great and made better by Brendan who worked hard to ensure we had a super day. His commentary was informative and very, very... More

From start to finish I had an amazing dsy. Weather not so good but could not spoil it for me. Had several stops with enough tine to do the necessary plus a stop for lunch. Brian our driver was amazing what he doesn't know about Scotland quite frankly isn't worth knowing. He has a fantastic knowledge of everything. I have... More
