I took part in a photo tour with Ewan on 25th February and had a super time. I hadn't been out with a camera since I fell in December 2019, injuring myself and breaking my camera equipment, and the tour with Ewan really boosted my confidence and also gave me the chance to use my new photo equipment. He took our group into places in Edinburgh where I hadn't been, and showed us points of interest along the way with hints and tips about composition and camera settings, which was really helpful. I would highly recommend Ewan and would gladly book another tour with him.

This was one of my favorite things I did while in Edinburgh.I was the only one signed up for a tour on this day and Ewan could have cancelled but he did not. Ewan is delightful and I had a pleasant morning in his company. He has an eye for detail and took me off the beaten track as I had requested. He has a very easy going manner and I never felt rushed. We even stopped for a coffee as it is a lot of walking and i needed a bit of a reboot.
I got to bring home some really fun pictures to remind me of my time in Edinburgh.
Ewan even walked with me all the way back to my hotel, something he did not have to do. He is very special and I can highly recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in photography! He will help you with your settings and make sure you get the shots you want and you will not be disappointed.

Being familiar with the city yet never having done a photography tour of it, this was a lovely day spent with Ewan. From tips on composition and experimenting with different exposures to achieve dramatic effect to just looking and seeing things from a different perspective was great! Would highly recommend!

Has a great time with Ewan, who took us to some beautiful, off the beaten track locations. Got some pictures that will always remind us our time in Edinburgh. Highly recommended.

We had Ewan to ourselves for the day. His knowledge of Edinburgh coupled with his modern photographic style was perfect for us. He took us off the beaten track a little to places we would never have found for ourselves. Nothing was too much trouble. He helped with photography if needed and his style is perfect for whatever standard of photographer you are.

This foto tour was my highlight for my visit in beautiful Edinburgh. If you like photography and curious to see the city from another ankle then this is perfect + you get to go home with beautiful pictures and a guide/summary of photography techniques and summary of the tour.
You get to see both the main sights, but also the more "hidden" places.
Besides all you learn that day is "universal" techniques for taking different pictures and is not just "valid" for Edinburgh -so another excellent bonus.
Ewan is such a great photographer and is a really good teacher -took time to discuss the pictures, adjusted the tour so it was suitable for the "photography level" and explained everything very well.
I would highly recommend it

If you are interested to take fotos of the smell of Edinburgh (of the past and present) you should participate in this tour with Ewan. First of all he is quiet a "fotomaker" (more than a photographer) who shows you the technique by framing of reducing to the essential of the subject. It is not the panorama that describes his town but also so many details with make the spirit of the town. He knows a lot of the past and present and explains it in wording and in pictures. A week after the shooting he also provided me via e-mail a summary of what and how we did and the photos he took. I felt very comfortable during the trip and during the discussion we had by reviewing our results. I do recommend Ewan's photo tour to all who want to see different when taking photographs.

A really well planned and informative few hours, with great insights and tips to help improve my photography. Ewan has some great ideas on how to get more creative and take better photographs. I thought I knew Edinburgh reasonably well, but most of the places we visited (all very close to the gallery) were new to me and a bit different fromt he norm. Awesome value.

I was given a voucher for my birthday for Foto Tours Edinburgh and had a thoroughly enjoyable Saturday morning early in October, being taken around Edinburgh by Ewan. Not only did I get to see parts of Edinburgh that I have never visited before, but I also got a different perspective on taking photos, even learning a bit more about my own camera as a result.
I can highly recommend this to anyone who likes taking photographs regardless of what you use to take them
