Address
Neighborhood: New Town
Suits and shopping bags rule the streets of New Town, until after dark when strappy dresses come out to play. This is the city’s central business district with its smaller offices, clothes boutiques, and many of the city’s flashiest restaurants and ritziest clubs. The architecture along roads like George Street helps give it a swank and formal feel: it’s a planned Georgian development of regal townhouses, geometric squares, and self-important statues. But it’s also a very wanderable neighborhood, with a healthy bustle at almost any time of day and fine people-watching in places like St Andrew's Square which fills with picnickers around lunch. You’ll also find a series of cheerful basement bistros on Hanover Street, while dark Rose Street has something of the feel of an undiscovered back alley and is chock-full of characterful pubs and small independent shops.

Haggis was served uniquely.

Got to try haggis - a definite must while in Scotland! Not the greatest of food quality. For the price, thought it should have been better. Show was ok - seen better. An average night for a high price.

Enjoyable

Like many dinner shows, the seating may not provide the best views of the entertainment, especially dancers. This show was an optional one on our tour. I enjoyed it, but it was a bit long. I'm not sorry we did it, but I don't plan to repeat it.

So after wasting much time and energy attempting to book this event. I spoke with a rude person that explained it is only available for parties of 20 or more. very dissappointed with trip advisor to misrepresent and deceive travelers

Don't forget the Scotch!
Sep 2018 • Couples
This is a Scottish evening featuring singers, dancers and the Ceremony of the Haggis. I don't think I would have tasted it had I known what it was but they made such a big deal about it when they presented it, that I did. The music and dancing was fun. The bagpipes are a kick and the lead piper is a hoot especially when he gets you to join in on the song. Be sure to get a sip of scotch for the toast. We hadn't had a chance to taste any until this point so we were glad we did. The layout is in the form of extremely long, long tables with people packed in. The waiters have to do their job of clearing the food during the show but are a little bit distracting. They put a lot of people into these shows. We were lucky to have a table at the back for two so we could stand to see and zoom in while taking photos. The food was really descious.

It was great entertainment and good food menu. The music the actors played made it feel really Scottish and it was an overall good experience.

Good show and I found out what Haggis was - UCK
Aug 2017 • Couples
Tonight, we went on an optional Scottish evening with Highland dancers, bagpipers, and the Ceremony of the Haggis. Haggis is a pork sausage mixed into cereal and spices cooked in the empty cleared sheep’s stomach. The dinner was great (including the haggis) and the entertainment was top notch.

warning for those who do NOT eat filters, as besides the heart, Haggis contains liver and kidneys.

I agree Haggis is somewhat exotic but I suspect no worse than a lot of sausages in terms of what its ingredients are and it is delicious!!

Awesome night
Aug 2017 • Friends
We attended this as part of our cosmos tour. The bagpiper at the door was a cool photo opportunity. The seating is in a big hall at a few long tables, with a stage up the front that the performers stood on. The food was in small portions and for one of my meals where it said I was to have walnuts, I was given 2 small pieces of a walnut, not even a full one. The meals were well paced though, and the wine was not bad. There is a guy who goes around with a variety of whiskys, £5 a pop. He was able to recommend me a whisky that suited my palate and though I usually hate whisky I actually thought it was really good!

The standout part of the night is the bagpiper. He apparently plays for the queen and he is incredible. There was highland dancing and some singing and humour. The entertainment makes up for the food that was good but not great. I don't know I would spend as much as I did on it again, but it was definitely worth it for me.

Great Tourist Show for this Tourist
May 2017 • Friends
Yes, it is a bit touristy, but this was my first trip to Scotland. I wanted to hear bagpipes, see Scottish dancing, hear beautiful singing and taste Haggis. So, got to check all of that of on my list and feel a bit more of the culture of this beautiful country. We attended with our CIE tour and enjoyed being greeted by the piper outside the door where we could take our own photo. Seating is long tables with benches, but expected at this type of dinner/show. Food was good, wine...just ok, Entertainment was great. Glad we experienced this taste of Scotland.

We were three 20-year-old French students and we loved it so much. The show was funny and the artists were so welcoming. Food was good and we discovered Scottish traditional meals. I will definitely recommend this place and I will go back anytime I'm in Scotland !
